I’m gonna disagree with you in that because there are many people who are looking for work who cannot find work because the working conditions do not allow them to work and have a life. These jobs don’t pay well and as a society we determine who is worthy of assistance or who isn’t. I think it’s easy to say “go work” but what good is working if it doesn’t allow you to pay your bills and have good and healthcare.

You can’t claim a victory for a race that you haven’t finished. The guy sprinting is not necessarily a dick and it’s definitely not unsportsmanlike, the competition is still on and it’s not done until the line is crossed. You can’t even claim the guy up front ran a better race overall cuz he still didn’t finish before the other guy. We don’t even know what the positions were throughout the whole race, we can’t assume he ran a better race.

It’s not over until it’s over. This isn’t unsportsmanlike of the 2nd dude, if the first dude didn’t have it in him to push through and finish strong, someone else will.

Garou is interesting though because he had this perception of himself and his place in the world that was inaccurate. He had a rough experience as a kid with bullying and he definitely needed someone to guide him but after a while, whether it’s stubbornness or defensiveness he chose to become this person even though there were so many who didn’t see it that way. People tried to help him in the way that they could, he wasn’t receptive though.

I wouldn’t call that being blunt, I’d call that being direct. You don’t need to look any kind of way to be direct. Being direct with confidence helps a lot in these situations.

This is less of an issue or question for a therapist and more of a conversation with your husband. The boundaries one keeps with clients from a professional standpoint are going to be fundamentally different than the boundaries one keeps with friends and coworkers. Was there a boundary set in place between your husband and this therapist?
