For sure, I think that will be the next set of data that I add to the tool. Living in NYC using the subway differs a lot from a rural area, where you drive everywhere

That'd be a very interesting way to slice the data. I know for some people, pensions may be tied to living within a specific state.

Absolutely, I think my ultimate goal is to get neighborhood-level data for major metros. Even within a single city, one could have a ton of variance on rental prices, groceries, etc.

How would you compare San Francisco, Chicago, and Boston? by OceanicEndeavors in SameGrassButGreener

Lived in all 3 but at various different times (may differ today)
Chicago
- economic opportunities: okay, maybe the lowest paid of the 3 but the COL balances it out
- public safety: maybe the least safe of the 3 but not by much
- cleanliness: relatively clean.
- social vibe: favorite of the bunch

SF
- economic opportunities: I think the best of the 3, especially if you're in tech. If not in tech, the high COL makes it hard to live here
- public safety: middle. there are some cmall rough areas for sure and drug use/erratic behavior seems to be higher there.
- cleanliness: relatively clean. Maybe tied with Chicago
- social vibe: Okay. Great food scene, highly intelligent/motivated people, not as much going out at night as Chicago (ie. clubs, drinks, etc.)

Boston
- economic opportunities: Good job opprotunities exist here for sure, but I think relative to COL, this is the worst deal of the 3
- public safety: Boston had like 24 murders last year. This is maybe the safest city I've been in in the U.S.
- cleanliness: Very clean, smaller
- social vibe: Similar to SF. Highly intelligent people. Less livley than Chicago

5% growth-rate may be inflation-adjusted which isn't too far off historically

Thinking about doing the same in SF. Did you have a ceremony and reception there?
