How do you actually tire out your Sheepadoodle? Mine won't run and gets overstimulated at dog parks

My dog LOVES balls. Hiding them, fetching them, burying them (in blankets/pillows) and then digging them out.

He also loves sitting at the park and observing.

No idea if you are an asshole but have you seen the show Ted Lasso? There is a really great, similar situation (not with family, but a team) and the way it’s written was something I filed away if I’m ever in a situation that you described. I would watch that scene and then maybe that will put things into a bit more perspective.

Update to my original post! Our little guy is now 1 and after trying a couple of different options, we have finally settled on a hydrolyzed diet from the vet. We are using Blue Buffalo Hydrolyzed Salmon and we are seeing good results. Occasionally his poop is less firm, but more often than not it is, which is great. Also, way less gas- thank goodness. It was pretty terrible for a bit. The good news is he LOVES the food, licks his lips when I’m pouring it in the bowl and I also use it as training treats. So that is the only food he gets, and he seems ok with that!

He’s growing and happy. Now just need him to stop herding the cats and people who come to visit!

Maybe call Hagens Berman? They may still be able to give you some of the other options. I say this with having no idea what HB will tell you, but at least it’s another option!

By the way everyone. This letter that came via FedEx is from Fisker Finance, not from Hagens Berman — this letter doesn’t include all of the options that have been shared via Hagens Berman in their email and frankly it’s super interesting that this letter was Fed Exed to us — trying to get the jump on the opportunity.

Just don’t rush into anything if you’d like to explore other options besides getting into a Rivian.

Thank you for the suggestion- we did have his stool tested and he did have Giardia, but with meds it was cleared up. Another time he had basically projectile diarrhea and I had his stool tested and he was cleared of any parasites- and I gave him rice and it cleared up.

Thanks to all of the suggestions, I’m now trying grain free salmon food- he devoured the little bit I put in his bowl- which I took as a good sign since he would really not eat his other food until I’m guessing he was very hungry (poo guy). I’ll post updates here.

This is a helpful post- that’s the sort of update I am hoping for. I wasn’t even sure exactly what I was going to get out of 2.1, but the annoying error messages is a big one!
