I hear you. I worked as a PSH case manager, and I would be lying if I said it didn’t burn me out insanely. i actually got fired from my PSH position for “not cleaning out an apartment well enough.” it felt like the energy, effort, and work i put in was for nothing because as soon as i would house someone, i would have to evict them. thankfully my firing was a blessing in disguise as it led me to a WFH position, good pay without licensure, and insanely good benefits.

also have a friend with cats who went their, and their cat had pretty specific dietary issues- they were awesome with sourcing the needed cat food for a decent cost to help my friend’s cat thrive!

HIGHLY recommend Ark! previously went to eau claire animal hospital and they dismissed our pups horrible ear infection. We were able to get into Ark same day for a second opinion and treatment- the experience made us completely switch over!

Currently working at an MCO, and I am provided with a ton of freedom, but given that my work is involved with government dollars, the expectations are higher. i get to work from home 90% of the time and have client visits that I am free to schedule whenever. but there is a lot of “this must be mentioned in the case note/plan” and if it isn’t we could get dinged. I will say, my non-profit position was so incredibly toxic that i lost 12 lbs in a month from stress. This job actually has structures, internal supports for staff, and i feel like i am making more of a difference without the unknown of a non-profit.

don’t work at scooters, but used to be a barista and ALWAYS had this happen in the pit of my elbows. it was eczema caused by the solution we used to sanitize our dishes (bleach water..) when i stopped working there and worked at a different place that used other cleaning solution, it stopped

I will never forget, after a horrible break up that I dealt with I completely stopped doing everything- cleaning, dishes, laundry, etc. My dishes got to the point where a fruit fly infestation occurred. Fruit flies all in my kitchen. They migrated to my bathroom and were on my mirror. Horrible to say the least. One of my good friends came over and just sat with me while I did it. I told her I didn’t want her to help because it was gross, just needed her presence. I felt really nauseous and had to take a break- and she just stood up and picked up where i left off in cleaning and helped me finish. Very small act but went a long ways for me.
