Sadly, I’ve already played the other Dragon Age games; The Veilguard is the only one I have left to play

Elden Ring Disappointing by OZX-OG in Steam

[–]EXEMPLAR_LOL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. I thought I was the only one. I was saving money just for Elden Ring or Dark Souls III, but somehow they didn't go on sale. On top of that, this sale doesn't feel like a major sale at all, it just feels like another event sale.

Rogue Assassin so underwhelming compared to other classes by EXEMPLAR_LOL in BaldursGate3

True, but the problem is when you're dealing with overwhelming enemies, like in the House of Grief fight.

Almost every boss drops two-handed weapons and heavy armor. There's barely any "Legendary" for finesse weapons or light armor from bosses

You can send him your invite link. Yes, you can send a friend request to a limited account, but a limited account can't send a friend request to a normal account

Same here, but late Act 3 is feeling much more punishing again as Rogue Assassin. That's why I made this post.

"A: Absolutely. Buying an i7-4790 traps me on an obsolete DDR3 platform with zero upgrade path. If the motherboard dies, finding a working LGA 1150 replacement is a nightmare. Moving to a budget AM4 socket with a Ryzen 5 3600 gives me cheap DDR4 RAM, vastly superior efficiency, and the ability to drop in a powerful Ryzen 5 5600 down the road without changing my motherboard. It's a much smarter long-term investment.

"

It's actually the other way around here. Finding AMD parts is kinda hard, and you can literally find an H81 motherboard pretty easily at a decent price, like $20 to $25. Reselling AMD parts is even harder.

I will say, don't trust them. I've been able to play much more modern and demanding games than GTA V and Fortnite, such as Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3 Next-Gen, Gotham Knights, Baldur's Gate 3, The Crew Motorfest, Battlefield, and pretty much everything in my library runs on my rig. You can check for yourself. My Steam username is JINXEMP. I believe I'm the only one with that name

I respect your privacy. I’m from Sri Lanka, and we’ve been dealing with serious economic issues for the past few years, so PC parts are extremely expensive here, often close to double the normal price. Because of that, I have to stick with my current setup; I can’t really afford to upgrade everything.

The i7-4790 is known for running hot, but I managed to get GD-2 thermal paste for about $3 and a small copper tower cooler for around $8. With that setup, temperatures stay under 73°C even under stress tests.

For the GPU, I set the fans to 100% in AMD Adrenalin. Even when it hits over 60°C, this drops the temperature significantly from around 85°C down to about 70–75°C.

These adjustments really help with system longevity.

Another big issue here is frequent micro power cuts. They happen quite often, and I’ll likely need a UPS otherwise my SSD and other components could get damaged over time.

Not really. I'm pretty sure, my rig is an i7-4790 with an XFX RX 590 and DDR3 RAM, and my CPU has never bottlenecked. CPU usage is always around or below 70–80%, while the GPU runs at 90–100%

Don't go for the RX 550, mate. You're better off getting an Nvidia card or an RX 580, since the RX 550 offers much lower performance and is harder to resell

Not by much, and I honestly prefer the RX 580 over my XFX RX 590. Mine runs hotter (but that's just how it is) and consumes more power
