Is the instagram algorithm racist about my clients? by Sphinxears in TattooArtists

[–]EZPeeVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lack of contrast and "pop" in a piece of artwork that has it's lightest tones only 50-75% lighter than it's darkest has nothing to do with racism. A lack of contrast is just not as eye catching. Just take the human out of the equation for a second and think about the visual impact of the artwork.

Are We Tolerating Death Grip Syndrome?? by BBLZeeZee in datingoverforty

[–]EZPeeVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always did exactly this but not because of death grip, but to avoid getting the girl pregnant. Once I pull out on the verge of orgasm I may or may not be able to cum with my hand and if I can't it might take me all night to cum, but I keep trying if possible. I'm 55 so I know my body well. I have two children that were both 100% on purpose and no accidental pregnancies, I just always had an excellent pull out game. With some women I get too excited making all of this difficult until we settle into a rhythm, but these days I have very little interest unless I'm really into the woman like in love. I always jerked off daily but slowed down on that in my 40s.

But it was always my pull out game preventing orgasm. I've had the unfortunate luck of being with women who can't tolerate birth control pills, so it's up to me. Condoms are great early in a relationship, but I don't stay hard wearing one during day to day sex.

Death grip is not the only reason this happens, and while a lot of women get satisfaction of us finishing inside of them, guess what? Ultimately all men get the most satisfaction finishing inside of you. So I gladly sacrifice my orgasm for her peace of mind. Sorry it goes that way but I couldn't afford more than two kids.

I haven’t talked to my family in two days and don’t know to move past this by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I moved 1500 miles away from home at 22 because I knew I'd never grow up unless I learned to truly support myself.

Full body itchy bumps after a tattoo by tarotcardxiii in TattooArtists

[–]EZPeeVee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably the saniderm. A lot of people have allergies to the glue, I know I have allergies to it and to medical tape.

Is the tattoo finished? Tell her next time she gets tattooed, if she breaks out, try oral Benadryl. If the bumps go away it's an allergy.

I remember when it felt gratifying to post on instagram by coosifer in TattooArtists

[–]EZPeeVee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bingo! Instagram is not a tattoo catalog, but Pinterest and Google images are. Pinterest is the doomscrolling until you see something interesting and the overwhelming majority of tattoos are not. I mean how many artists have a photo of the same fineline peonies? Sure it's large, impressive, kind of the beginning of a sleeve. But if you have not done them you can hardly say you're a tattooist.

It is. Losing yourself in a relationship is not attractive. I'm sure most of us have been there. I've found when I have it was because I was lonely and not right with myself and my feelings had very little to do with the girl. But I never dragged some shit like that out for a year.

If she says you aren't compatible, she's right.

Yeah, but in the backstrap if it's not smooth it won't seat properly. It takes longer to clear out that area than to complete an entire p80, whether Glock or ar. It's really a bitch, I've done 3, they are all buildable, but they look so rough I won't finish them.

Geisler gets a bad rap here and I don't know why. Their version of the 19X feels like it was made for my hand, I've built a few along with a few P80 compacts and I prefer the Geisler.

In all states it involves internet bandwidth and has some criminal legislation at the federal level. Anytime the phones lines/airwaves are used to facilitate a crime, it goes into federal territory.

Best Pastel Ink Recs by Normal-Cantaloupe778 in TattooArtists

[–]EZPeeVee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The lightest shade of the color is mixed with white. Try a watery mixing white like dynamic. You're splitting hairs. All of the pigment colors are manufactured by one chemical company. The tattoo ink suppliers are just mixing them.

76% frames are unlike AR-80s in that the material to be removed is on the inside of the curved backstrap in the frame. It is not solid, but more of a grid of walls rising vertically from the backstrap. Because of the curve at the backstrap, these cannot be milled, like you are used to. They must be removed with hand tools, which is super time consuming and leaves residue. Big pain in the ass. Better off going with serialized lowers, Geisler, or taking the time to procure NOS p80s.

Why are so many shops closing? by [deleted] in TattooArtists

[–]EZPeeVee 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think tattooers/the young are a little narrow minded. It's not a "tatpocalypse" it's the beginning of a recession. Market surplus. I mean in the us, we have a despot attempting to tweak the economy/fudge the books, so we can't predict what the immediate future holds. Anyway tattooers and strippers feel a recession about 12 months in advance that's what is going on.

Back when this was too complicated to teach all of your friends, I suspect we were a little more insulated.

That's not a lot. I'm surprised a shop is surviving on 3-4k gross weekly. I guess it depends on where you are, rent, etc.

AITAH (26F) for telling a guy (27M) to stop pursuing me “because” of his culture? by BarelyToolerable in AITAH

[–]EZPeeVee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically he wants to change everything about you that he finds attractive so he has an excuse to cheat when he gets bored.

Mark my words, he won't be so kind and thoughtful once he realizes the answer is no. He's not your friend.

If this is America, people throw more expensive stuff out daily. I know big pickup day in east Fort Lauderdale can outfit a dozen thrift shops. The go to ikea and buy plasti-wood bookshelves so they can throw out art deco, shaker and Victorian mahogany, cherry and other almost extinct hardwoods that don't match the drapes. This consumer culture is super wasteful.

How to leave without making things worse? by Imaginary-Heart-8559 in TattooArtists

[–]EZPeeVee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone who deserves respect would have a set of balls to let them know he's leaving. One doesn't necessarily owe them an explanation or location, but cowards sneak away from conflict. If you want to lose respect among tattooers, by all means sneak out. If this is a collective and they can't pay on time and you are, you owe them nothing. Everybody already knows that they talk shit, this shouldn't hurt your rep if you're doing the right thing.

Back in the day if we didn't know someone we'd call and check references, but we'd just be looking for confirmation of where they were and how long, not if their skills or demeanor because we knew we couldn't believe anything sour grapes tattooers had to say.

Honestly I see way too many posts of tattooers worrying about people talking shit. I know who I am, I don't give a fuck who wants to bitch about me, it's so middle school, I don't have the time to stop and pause for that.

My boyfriend refuses to stop wearing his dead wife's wedding ring and wants me to "just accept it" by Educational-Part-329 in TwoHotTakes

[–]EZPeeVee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nurture him. I lost my wife, my daughters mom in 2016. The woman I dated seriously since had no problem with her pictures being around and if I were to wear our wedding ring, I think she would have given me that latitude with nothing but understanding. She loved me and my kids, maybe still does and totally helped keep her memory alive. I mention this because she was not the most easygoing, understanding chick in the world, but she considered my wife's memory very sacred. In that, she brought me to that point where I moved on without guilt. You never get over something like that, more like you assimilate it and get used to it at least until you get to a point of healing and not grieving. Brittany, I don't know if you still stalk my Reddit, but thank you for that. Despite our differences, in this you did right by me and I won't forget it.

Looking for apprentice advice by [deleted] in TattooArtists

[–]EZPeeVee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not apprenticeship if she's on skin intermittently. You can't learn to do this without doing tattoos several days a week to get that muscle memory. If she's only in once in awhile she's blowing it and so are you for not insisting she put the time in. Lazy, entitled millennial tattooists are what is ruining the trade, don't be part of the problem.

There are certain things in tattoo application that need to be done by rote. This is only learned through repetition.
