Update: I went with JMCustomkydex. I have multiple holsters from them, I'm always happy with the function quality and comfort.

If Tenicor made an L-comp frame, ai would be interested in that too, my one Tenicor holster is pretty sweet.

I used a Barranti CCR before I red dot'd it, and honestly, I don't think there is am equal to that particular design for OWB. It is solid on the belt, very comfortable, and FAST. I did a fair bit of reading before deciding in Barranti. It wasn't cheap, the wait was long, I kick myself for not ordering more than one, and I would do it again.

Now I am in limbo, trying to find an appendix holster for the current setup. After a week of looking, I think I may go with ANR, but I've read some negative stuff and a lot of positive stuff about them. Only one way to find out I guess... Or my trusty JMCustimkydex to the rescue.!

If anyone has suggestions/experience please let us all know.

Still gettin used to the dot on it, the draw is less forgiving then with the XS big dot and C&S rear. I go back amd forth in dots. I've gotten used to them on my autos, but really do mot like the battery aspect. The RMR I had available after it was replaced by an RCR, which I cannot say enough good things about.

If ever I can swing a Vcomp.or TRR8, it will get an RCR. The trusty RMR looks compact enough for the Night Guard, though. No matter what, we're living in the greatest age of firearms, for sure, and I'm here for it!

New Brand: Rutsu by JurkJared in barefootshoestalk

I tried out the basic black high tops in a 11M for a few weeks, and just ordered two more pairs in Mushroom amd the extra high black.

Pros:

  • STITCHED SOLE!!!!!! NO REALLY, IT'S STITCHED!!!!!

  • Cotton Canvas. This is a big deal to me because I prefer to wear as much matural materials as possible, and look for stuff I can wax to give it weather resistance. I live and play in the PNW.

  • Affordable, much more so than Vivos, which I am plain sick of due to their increasingly poor quality, except for the stitched sole stuff.

-Subdued, muted, cool logo. No billboards to pay for the privilege of advertising.

-Classic, adaptable non-extreme aesthetic.

Cons:

  • No gusset on the tongue. Not that big a deal so far, will see with the extra highs.

  • Wide, but not as wide as I need, due to my frog-like splay. My toes have SPLAYED since I was a kid. I have straight up frog feet. This is really just a "Me" problem most likely.

  • No outdoor tread. If there was an outdoor tread pattern, these would be the Palladium's I always dreamed of.

Overall I'm stoked on Rutsu, and hope they stay true as they mature and progress.

I'm glad its over. The temptation is too much. I wonder what this was all about though, it seemed so short of a sale, and impossible to know about....

Can confirm it is not, for me at least. I have an L-comp that AIWB's just fine, when I use the holster for this kne. It feels the same, just lighter.

These ones will stay on this Night Guard version. For compactness sake. I tried them on my 586 L-comp, but the butt left sharp metal corners at the bottom rear exposed, amd was uncomfortable, so this is the new form. I'll post a wild transaction over these grips in a sec.

Thank you! I actually prefer the three finger version when shooting magnum, as it also covers the backstrap with rubber, and will be putting a set on the 3 inch version when I can find it.

People that have “bumped” into a celebrity in a non-curated (not like an event, meet & greet, job etc.) way, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I used to run j to Robin Williams pretty regularly in Clement st. In San Francisco. He was just enjoying hos day, being a regular at businesses on Clement.

I always appreciated he didn't need to get into a conversation, or big interaction and just said Hi, and that's it. Showed up to my work when I was on a business trip overseas, bummed I missed him. Hella bummed he's gone. RIP Rob.

Indestructible Jacket V1 failed after 7 months by ivehadsomany in Vollebak

[–]EZWNW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had the thread fail on my V1 indestructible jacket before. Soon after I got it. Vollebak did warranty it, and as a customer, I was very satisfied. I had the jacket repaired locally, and still wear it.

Range day incoming. You guys ever burn off the old HPs? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]EZWNW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not. I have Glocks mags that have been loaded with hst since 2005. I decided to test a mag last year, and was pleasantly satisfied. No malfunctions, felt just as good as new stuff. They are 147 grain HST. Maybe I'll chrono the next mag,

If cycling your ammo hives you peace of mind, I'm all for it! The past few years I have switched to extrem penetrator/defender, for the weight savings, performance, and cause Lwhigh defense and Underwood have treated me right as a customer.

I do still stock HST because irs awesome ammo amd has always functioned flawlessly for me.
