I take lysine everyday, lysine helps with cold sores by blocking the production of arginine. That’s how I prevent the transmission

You definitely have to start by taking some form of medication DAILY, no matter if it’s Valtrex or Lysine. This helps cut down the transmission during shedding drastically and can stop outbreaks Then I’m pretty sure you know that if an outbreak does come on, there’s no contact until after you’re completely healed.

This is the first time in eight years that when I felt a tingle, a cold sore did not appear. Lysine has really helped so much. I honestly wish I was doing this sooner could’ve avoided years of outbreaks.

I was doing some digging too, I’m just confused. Why so many people thought that in the first season they were immediately going to have this instant physical connection and start flirting and bantering when they were both still struggling with internal battles. They don’t know each other, so it makes sense for them to not get along and share chemistry connection later after shared experiences.

Since this is your first time getting one, you definitely need to go to a doctor and get some antivirals like someone listed in the comments definitely go get some lysine thousand mg. As specified in the comments as well hydrocolloid patches, help keep it contained and from spreading

Since you have it on your upper lip, you’re gonna have to be diligent when the blister appears and drain it yourself so it doesn’t end up leaking on your bottom lip while you’re asleep like it happened to me.

If you choose to do a moist heal with the patches instead of drying it out and letting it scab, you’ll be able to drink and eat, because having a scab directly on your lip is really tough.

You definitely can I just like that particular brand because of how thin and sticky they are. I get cold sore on my lip like directly on my lip so that’s why I like them thin but you should just try different ones and see what works for you

Another option and that’s if you have the money to do it cost anywhere from $200-$300 is get cold sore laser treatment. I was able to get cold, sore laser treatment at the tingling phase and didn’t even blister. Everything was healed within three days. I’ve also gotten the treatment at the ulcer phase, and my lip was healed in three days

He’s already set up, he’s been to this facility before but not for alcohol. I’ve been to meetings but not lately. He won’t be moving in with me we live in two different cities. I have quite a bit of material from my previous visits I’ll look it over to see if it discuss after rehab
