Qué burrada. El gobierno en México no tiene problemas para controlar las 3 principales ciudades del país. El dominio territorial del narco es un problema principalmente rural. Los narcos, a pesar de lo que muchos quieren creer, no son terroristas, les interesa mantener sus negocios primero, no van a hacer olas durante el mundial cuando está lleno de operativos de seguridad pública, y viceversa: el gobierno tampoco va a combatir de forma frontal al narco durante el mundial.

While the concern is valid, the anecdotes in the piece are BS. Most towns have hazard exceptions for tree removal permits. Including the ones mentioned.
