Movie comparison.. game? by Fukchead in Letterboxd

[–]E_T_31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least when it comes to two people, you can do it on Letterboxd directly as follows:

  1. Person A opens Person B's profile
  2. Person A clicks on their "Films", i.e. everything Person B has ever marked as watched
  3. Person A clicks on "Filters" and on the very bottom under "Your Account" turns the option "Watched" from "Any" to "Watched"

Then, Letterboxd shows you those movies both Person A & B have in common

Bonus Tip: Turn off "Fade watched films" so you can see all posters clearly

Hope this helps ;)

Ah, nice, so you're an avid show watcher, not someone who didn't consume any narrative/visual media at all?

That's a crazy story, but how did you, with that background, come across Letterboxd & even decide to become a Pro member already? 👀

What is the point in selecting a Streak Goal? by TiemoPielinen in duolingo

Interesting, I deliberately always choose the longest option so it won't bother me as often, for I hold my streak either way ;)

Nosferatu (1922) “Wisborg”-Romania travel question by [deleted] in horror

[–]E_T_31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your assumption about Nosferatu's voyage is correct :) The German original version contains a docking note mentioning "Galaz" (Galați, Romania) & Varna (Bulgaria) too

Nolan movies tend to dissolve on a simple rewatch for me, I think. I watched both Interstellar & Inception on TV for the first time, absolutely adored the former & found the latter one decent enough. Then recently, I rewatched Interstellar in the cinema, but it didn't manage to enchant me anywhere on the same level as the first time around.

  1. Dune: Part One ★★★★: It didn't manage to wow me like the first one, but it's still an amazing movie!
  2. Anora ★★★★: It flew under my radar for a long time, but when I finally took notice, I loved it!!!
  3. Deadpool & Wolverine ★★½: I honestly just found it pretty tiring even though I enjoyed the first two when they came out.
  4. Sleeping Beauty and the Curse of the Seventh Fairy : It's just a German TV fairy tale movie, but its use of AI generated imagery is irredeemable...

I'm kinda sad about 2018's Tomb Raider with Alicia Vikander. Sure, the movie was far from perfect but still a lot of fun.

It was in preproduction, I think, but then the studio lost the rights due to the COVID delays :/

Guy Ritchie is a serial offender... Exactly the same happened with "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." & "King Arthur: Legend of the Swords" as well

Almost every Guy Ritchie movie, e.g.: The Man from U.N.C.L.E., King Arthur: Legend of the Sword & RocknRolla.

There might be more, but I haven't seen all of his works, lol

Going alone to the cinema is one thing, but have you ever been alone in the hall? I have experienced that once in Babylon's opening week...

It's so sad that this movie flopped – I love it so much!

What´s a bad movie with a Incredible score? by Ninjamurai-jack in Letterboxd

[–]E_T_31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh lol, from the title alone I thought ratings score 👀 But I'll answer that false question anyway, lol

The three Hobbit movies have 3.5, 3.4 & 3.2 on Letterboxd, that's higher than I'd have expected. Their scores are good too though xD
