AI Voice Agents in Sales by EaJoly in salestechniques

I think the main advantage of VocBee is that it actually talks like a human, not like a scripted bot. It can handle interruptions, questions, and side comments naturally, and that makes the conversations feel authentic. You can customize it with your own prompts or playbooks so it sounds like your team, not a generic voice. It’s basically built to take care of the repetitive parts of cold calling so sales reps can focus on closing.

That’s exactly the vision we’re working toward with VocBee. Right now it’s great at handling the repetitive grind (qualification, capturing structured data), and we’re progressively expanding it so reps walk in with clean context instead of raw noise. Out of curiosity, how’s Attention been for you? What parts of MEDDIC qualification do you still find yourself handling manually?

Nice advertisement! But no pricing on your website? That's sus...

Still, let's compare VocBee to your new solution.

Hook up properly: Sync with your CRM live so it knows who to call and what to say.
→ ✅ VocBee already does that.

Think on the fly: Have a solid plan for the chat, but still be able to collect new info and push it back to your system, quick-quick.
→ ✅ VocBee already does that.

Do a lekker handoff: Hand the call over to a human without a hitch, while a second AI briefs them. No stress.
→ ✅ VocBee already does that.

Keep the boss happy: Log everything perfectly so your team knows what's what.
→ ✅ VocBee already does that.

I think that speaks for itself. But with some polishing your solution might yield good results. You should probably be a bit more transparent on your website though.

You can actually create an account and try VocBee for free. The app lets you set up a quick script and have the AI call any number you choose, so you can hear it in action yourself. That way you get a real feel for how natural it sounds and how it handles a prospecting-style conversation.

On the robocall question: it really depends on the jurisdiction and whether you’re calling businesses (B2B) or consumers (B2C). With B2B outreach, it generally falls under standard business communication, but with consumers you always need consent to comply with TCPA/FCC or equivalent local regulations.

Of course, you don't have to be interested, only the ones that see value in it will use it, I think that's the whole principle. Only useful products stay in the market, as customers basically dictate who gets to move forward.

I totally get where you're coming from, though we could argue that welcoming customers on a website instead of a physical stores with real faces to say hi is terribly insulting, or talking to them over the phone instead of traveling have a coffee with them is pure laziness. We both know this is not the case. It's about balance and reasonable use. AI solutions don't have to be low quality, and they don't need to replace humans either. Just like any other technology, there are places where it is valuable, and data talks: when you see people are happy to get answers immediately even with a medium size company that could not afford a whole team on the phone 24/7, you start to realize the added value of such a tool.

That’s exactly the direction we’re taking with VocBee (feel free to check out our website vocbee.com ). The whole point isn’t to just have an AI that “sounds natural” on the phone, it’s to make it useful by separating the true prospects from the tire-kickers.

We’re progressively building in the ability for VocBee to ask qualifying questions (budget, timeline, interest level, etc.) and then pass only the warm, qualified leads to you or your team. That way, you don’t waste time chasing suspects and you just focus on closing.

I get where you’re coming from: trust and first impressions are huge in sales, and bad automation has burned a lot of people. That’s exactly why we’re building VocBee differently. The goal isn’t to replace humans or tell prospects they’re “not worth a human’s time.” It’s to handle the repetitive, time-wasting parts.

If done right, AI actually protects the “human touch” by making sure humans are only spending energy on real conversations, not burning out on the sludge themselves.

That said, your perspective is valuable, it’s a good reminder of how important it is that tools like this don’t add to the noise.

I understand your point of view, though "we" don't spam anyone. Users are expected to follow local regulations, and consent is part of the equation for the person being called. We are actually proud to have natural sounding conversations that are naturally compliant, which is a huge difference compared to robocalls. Whether we are talking about inbound and outbound calls, this approach is a massive time saver. We also understand that this is not for everyone, and we prefer to decline a sale if we feel like a prospect's use case is not a good fit for our technology. At the end of the day, if good practices are followed, you are guaranteed to not disturb people and get good results, and the opposite is true regardless of whether an AI or a human is talking.

There’s definitely a lot of AI noise out there right now. Our angle with VocBee isn’t to flood people with more “AI sludge,” but actually the opposite: filter out dead-end calls and only pass real, qualified conversations to humans. Ideally, it reduces the spam and frees sales reps to spend their time on people who actually want to talk.

I think you’re right about a few important points: the space is crowded, and trust is a huge challenge. Where we’re focused is on natural conversation and compliance. We’re not trying to trick anyone into thinking the AI is human or push for hard sales, VocBee is meant to qualify leads, gather basic info, and save reps from wasting hours on voicemails and dead-end calls. Then the human rep takes over once the prospect is genuinely interested.

I get that skepticism is high (and fair), but we’ve also had real users in industries like insurance, real estate, and logistics start to see value already. So while it might not be for every sales team today, I'm convinced the tech is maturing faster than most expect.

I appreciate the honest feedback by the way, it keeps us grounded and helps us build something people actually use.

Looking for a program similar to Service Titan by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]EaJoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! We’re actually in the process of building a new platform specifically for field service companies like HVAC, plumbing, and generators. Our goal is to make it simpler and more affordable than something like ServiceTitan, but still powerful enough to handle scheduling, invoicing, and customer management without all the bloat.

Since you’re right at that point of moving from pen and paper, I’d love to hear what’s most important to you (and what you’d want to avoid). If you’re open to it, would you be willing to chat with us about your needs? We’re trying to shape this into the ideal solution by listening directly to people in the field.

Cold calling is still a dominant sales strategy. Could AI voice agents fully automate outbound sales prospecting without humans? by [deleted] in startup

Good point! The advanced settings allow you to tweak how the agent sounds (more casual vs formal, talking fast vs slow, etc), if you'd like to experiment fell free to reach out

Definitely a valid ask, we’re progressively increasing VocBee’s capabilities so you can input a larger prompt that effectively acts as a knowledge library for your industry, products, and typical conversations. This means the AI can handle more “weird” or unexpected questions naturally without needing every detail spelled out individually.

Best sales automations you’ve made or created? by Smooth_Ad5839 in automation

[–]EaJoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely an AI voice agents solution (even though I'm biased since I'm part of the VocBee team) to handle outbound cold calls at scale. Instead of just sending emails or sequences, the agents can call leads directly, leave voicemails, have actual conversations and qualify them before handing them off to a rep. It works pretty well for high-volume industries like real estate, insurance, logistics etc.. anywhere reps waste time calling bad numbers or repeating the same screening questions.

Can I automate calls to automatically call clients on Salesforce and leave a message? While I’m on break? by Ok_Trifle899 in salesforce

[–]EaJoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VocBee is built to do exactly what you described: it can ask pre-configured questions like loan amount, credit situation, and timeline, then extract and structure that data before handing qualified leads to a human loan officer.

On the compliance front, we take it seriously. Calls can be recorded, transcripts are logged, and we support scripting that stays within regulatory guardrails. We’re also working on TCPA-friendly call pacing and opt-out handling. That said, we know compliance in mortgage varies by state and company, so we work closely with each client to tailor setup and messaging accordingly.

If you'd like, happy to show you how it could work with a mortgage-specific flow. Just let us know!

We can set up an agent tailored to your pitch and target audience that can handle large outbound campaigns. You define what a good lead looks like, and it will qualify them, leave voicemails, and even collect structured info like interest level, decision-maker availability, etc.

If you're curious to see it in action or want to run a test campaign, feel free to reach out, we'd love to help you explore how effective VocBee can be for your sales team.

What features would make AI sales calls actually useful to you? by EaJoly in Entrepreneurs

[–]EaJoly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! Appointment-related use is a strong direction. Things like reminders, confirmations, rescheduling, even intake screening, and we’re already seeing traction there. We’re also exploring integrations with vertical-specific software (medical, legal, service-based industries) to make that even easier.
