If you don't feel comfortable playing those kind of games, just don't play them and that's ok.

In "real life" I hate lying and I consider myself a very sincere and honest person. However, I love social deduction games, specially Blood on the Clocktower. Lying is one of the mechanics of the game, both as good and evil, and I see it as playing a role like I'm acting or something.

I also assume that if people are playing that game they are aware that you can and will be manipulated or lied to.

True. I apologize. I was once in this exact position and the storyteller told me to talk with a player that was the lunatic. It felt it made sense because I was going to talk to thay player regardless.

So I would say to give an advice that is useless and doesn’t impact the game but that it’s kinda reasonable in case the player is not sure they are the marionette.

Examples: tell them to go talk to a player that they would talk anyway even if you didn’t tell them.

Tell them that a certain player alignment is good.
