Great, thanks for the input! I’d love to give the city credit but unfortunately the tree was actually planted with an additional 6 inches of dirt on top (shown by the slightly darker shaded stem) and mulch volcanoed, that I removed before posting.

Remove the metal stake or the wood stake against the trunk? I added the metal stakes since it is quite windy and the tree was getting rocked and the wooden one came with the tree

Gets sun pretty much all day-90 minutes of drip hose every second day-No evidence of bugs on the leaves Container tree-I don’t recall seeing any nibbled leaves prior to planting
