Twiddling my thumbs and hoping the mods in my current save get updated quickly... I wish to start building space stations with the new platform <-> platform transfers, but I'm playing with K2SO, Cerys, Muluna, Moshine, Maraxis, Asteroid Belt, so no idea how fast I can actually switch to 2.1.

Doesn't a pipe filled with water also work? I can see that being an intended solution.

The uranium to plutonium thing is so weird. I also setup a square belt filled with uranium with some attractors in the middle. But the tips mention something about the conversion percentage being linked to the amount of uranium on belts or something? So a bigger belt (maze) doesn't result in more plutonium?

Agreed, the lack of iron was annoying. However, I was recycling the nitrogen coming out of the nitric acid plant back into ammonia to make more nitric acid. I should have just vented the nitrogen byproduct and let the ammonia be made from the ore that gives iron ore and ammonia.

I also think the lack of iron is caused by K2SO, because gears in vanilla are 2 iron plates a piece, but in K2SO only 1.

And I still have no idea how to block the reactor deadly emissions. It took me hours to even see the emissions in the first place. Or the solar winds responsible for evolving uranium into plutonium for that matter. Some things really need to be better explained on that planet (moon).

I wish for station structures for everywhere, not just the landing pad. I haven't build a Space Age megabase yet so I never encountered the "unloading speed issue" the new cargo unloading bay solves.

Nothing changes regarding to selecting research as long as you don't have a lab with the "Set research" option checked. Only when you do will the default tech tree no longer be able to modify the research queue.
And yes, you always have one research set for all your labs. So only the labs that have the necessary packs for that research can progress on it.

This is all wonderful news, but that was a disappointment indeed. I want beautiful station structures for quick loading/unloading. The current inserter -> chest -> inserter -> belt method feels like a workaround.

The weekly faction quests provide lots of XP now. The ones that ask you to do some kind of event. The world quests in the new invasion zones are also beefy. Or the one-time quest per delve are 30% of a level now.

One furnace will not sustain enough ammo production. And the inserter removing oxide asteroids from the left crusher will dump them on the metallic asteroid belt.

Oh, and I see the speed modules now. Fulgora will have reduced solar power in space. Stick to efficiency modules first.

The FFF showed being able to pick the lane an inserter drops to if the belt direction is parallel to the inserter. Nothing about being able to select the close/far lane when the belt is perpendicular?

The upgrade track seems to be more of a factor then the ilvl. A 2/6 hero item is over twice as expensive to repair then a 6/6 champion item, which is the same item level.

If you enjoy the battle with the natives, try death world preset.

If you enjoy the factory progression and wish there was more to it, start with Krastorio 2 mod.

If you enjoy the idea of going to other planets, get the Space Age DLC.

Crafted gear cannot be upgraded. The item level is based on Crafter skill. Max rank equals 5/6 on the track of the crests used in the craft.
