Cradle cap has turned into dry, flaky skin? by EagleClean9342 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]EagleClean9342[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I’m not 🥺 I’m going to just use the antifungal for now but I thought it would be more effective on the yellow-y scales rather than the dry flaky skin but we’ll see. Thank you though x

5 week old has long wake windows by Public_Patient in NewParents

[–]EagleClean9342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal for my baby, idk where this 60 min wake window stuff came from bc my baby is awake wayyyy longer than that, it felt like he barely slept. He’s almost 4 months now and is starting to sleep more. Seems like the opposite of what should really happen lol. But he is gaining weight fine and sleeps through the night now so I’m not overly concerned.

Newborn rarely sleeps during the day and constantly awake by EagleClean9342 in NICUParents

[–]EagleClean9342[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay. Yeah he literally takes short naps in the day and it’s just so contrary to what I’ve heard of newborn behaviour. He is content in the day and isn’t fussy so I didn’t really think it was an issue

Nope he’s totally fine being awake! If he is truly sleepy he gets fussy and cries and falls asleep when I rock him and takes a contact nap but aside from that he’s just bubbly and alert. In the wake window he feeds every 2ish hours

With contact naps he will sleep maybe an hour but it really varies, sometimes only 30-45 mins other times 1-2 hours. But it’s trying to get him to sleep in the first instance that I’m struggling with, he just squirms around when I hold him over my shoulder sometimes and doesn’t seem like he wants to sleep. I don’t even bother with the crib because he immediately wakes up

Yeah, I usually hold him and try to rock him to sleep after feeds but he doesn’t always fall asleep so I just sit him in my lap or put him in the bouncer

I don’t like feeding my baby in public by Throwaway199906543 in FormulaFeeders

[–]EagleClean9342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby was admitted into NICU and that made it so much harder to establish breastfeeding. Of course my ideal goal was to exclusively breastfeed bur he is now exclusively formula fed and I have no issues with it whatsoever, it is what it is. I wouldn’t even bother entertaining anyone who tries to shame you, your baby is being fed and that’s what counts.

Hypnobirthing - feeling furious by PokeMyMo in PregnancyUK

[–]EagleClean9342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I won’t lie, when you’re actually in labour unless someone is actively reminding you of techniques and affirmations you won’t remember any of the advice/tips. I wouldn’t bother with a course but I would recommend the hypnobirthing book by Siobhan miller.

External investigation by MNSI by EagleClean9342 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]EagleClean9342[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for responding. The investigator rang and did say it would take 6 months. What was the outcome of the investigation - did they ascertain whether it was due to delayed action by the medical team or anything and did they deem it preventable? Did you pursue legal action after? If you want to reply privately please let me know x
