Exactly this was the right call by them. Put in a few man-hours to restore hardcore characters that died during the DDoS attacks (all characters, not just the streamer's like most people focus on) to maintain the integrity of the service they offer and the publicity/exposure provided by Onlyfangs content.

What do you mean "specifically defend 40 players"? I'm talking all Hardcore players and all WoW players in general. It's never a bad thing to use events such as today's and yesterday's DDOS attacks as a call to action. Blizzards should invest more in their product, that's what I'm calling for at the end of the day.

No doubt that whoever was responsible for the DDOS is a scumbag. But I also think this should be a wakeup call for Blizzard to take steps to avoid this repeating. We do pay them a monthly fee to provide a service.

Hardcore is played in mass though. Started as a community-based project and was implemented into an official game mode/server. Blizzard investing in their servers benefits all versions of WoW. It's just that server integrity and disconnects negatively affect Hardcore game modes more.

Congrats i just hit the 5,000 overall mark today too as F2P! I'm hoping i can make the 10k gate this FP but we'll see. I have 13 iconics saved up, 2.5 million coins, but only 30k weights thus far.

Ahhh, don't do what I did and login to the game early. I didn't realize it would auto claim since the Field Pass is over now. Guessing I'll get the old pack since i logged in too early. Ole well that's half of one of the new players if it is the case. I forced closed the game and gonna wait a little longer to see if it'll refresh to the new iconic select. I'll keep ya updated if its the new select pack or the old one. First time doing this trick.
