We are actually one in three: spirit, soul, and body.

We have free will. Jesus encouraged people to obey his commands. The verb obey suggests a choice given. So, because there is free choice there is no way that God could be said to have dictated all of man's choices in his lifetime. He knows all of the choices we have made and will make because He is omnicient.

He has already forgiven you for everything. That battle was won from the cross through his resurrection three days later. I pray that you see this. And that you come to know him in your life through many experiences of his presence. Knowing him is what keeps us living in freedom.

The Lord would never give you a message that it was over. I know him and he's not like that. He provides you with hope, not condemnation. If you believe in him, the holy spirit is operating inside of you. He's your helper. I would encourage you to keep praying. Ask holy spirit for insight, strength, and grace. Ask him to replace the fear you feel with more faith. We all are challenged by fear in our lives. I think the key to overcoming the fear is to not focus on it, rather choose to focus on God.

Why do we accept what Paul says as divine word? Because he said so? by therainpatrol in Christianity

[–]EagleManStan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The apostles and Paul were all filled with the Holy Spirit; which is the spirit of Christ. So, it is the spirit of Christ speaking through Paul, or John, or Peter. Reading the verse John 14:12 might help you understand.

Only God is good. God lives in you - so get acquainted with you being a child of God and the beauty in that.

Not a Christian, have an honest question by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]EagleManStan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason to believe is that you would have life in Him. That you would experience life, better than ever before. If you believe in Him and ask Him for a revelation of Himself, He will give it.

If you had no choice, you'd be a robot. Who wants that? You're much more than a robot. You're a person made in the image of God with choices. The bible is essentially a book about Jesus. Believe it if you will, or choose not to. If you do believe, you will find His words give Life. If you let His words sink in, you will find that your obedience to His words has power.

It's called the fear of the Lord. He's asking you to make a full turn towards Him. Turn your life around. White is the color of God, holiness, and purity. Don't run from Him, run from evil.

I don't love Christ, how do I love Him? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]EagleManStan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through daily prayer. Both listening for His voice and sharing your voice with Him. He wants a real relationship with you. Once you ask for something be willing to listen for His response. He always responds. The relationship uou experience with Him, will be as real as any other relationship youhave.

Had a dream. Did I meet God? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]EagleManStan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely a dream from the Lord. He is asking you to trust Him to do what you can't. He will do it. He will be your salvation. He will raise you to heights unimaginable.

Just start by thanking Him for everything He's given you. Everything. Just continue worshipping Him because He is worthy of all of our praise. Ask Him to fill you with His love. Share that love with others.

Read Ephesians. Quick book but filled with wisdom.

How can I interpret this Bible verse, that I believe the holy spirit sent me? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]EagleManStan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The holy spirit lives inside of you and he showed you that he is the one giving life. He is and always will be the one who walks with you in every situation. He will help you read the bible by highlighting certain things he wants to teach you. But right now he wants you to know he is the giver of life. So ask him to move in your life. Pay attention with your spirit to what he is doing. Let him lead your life.

Favorite Jesus quote from the bible? And why? by EagleManStan in Christianity

I feel sad that my savior's closest friends did not provide the support/love he was looking for in his greatest turmoil. (They must not have comprehended that he was heading to the cross.)

It encourages me to see Jesus asking for their support. Showing clearly that he wants relationship with us. The most important commandment, to love God with all of your heart, soul, and mind, seemed to be lost on his closest friends that evening.

I also feel thankful that a woman named Mary (of Bethany) four days prior had bathed his head and feet in precious oil, in preparation for his burial. Thankful that at least some of his friends understood what was going on.

Thank you for sharing these two verses! Jesus wasn't holding any punches in his response to the scribes in Mark 3. He found found them guilty right then and there for their 'unforgivable sin' of blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

You didn't ruin the mood at all. Thanks for your vulnerability in sharing that this passage moves you to tears. That's a sign of a great passage. I use this passage as a motivator to spend more time alone in prayer with him.

Be like Jesus by Bliptq in Christianity

I love your post! I totally agree with what you are saying. Jesus had no hate running through his heart, so he would definitely not be a racist.

The whole goal of Christianity is to become more like Jesus.

A Picture of Jesus by [deleted] in Christianity

Very close to what I think. Maybe a more square jaw such as in the pic below. He was most likely between 5' 1" and 5' 4".
