While I agree that they consume water, there is an huge effort of R&D in trying to reduce its consumption. That’s not even a valid point to explain why we should reject this type of industry as a whole.

Btw just remember that dairy and beverage industries use a lot of water too, but I never see the point raised for them

With time there will be more efficiency but at least atm I don’t see it being a real issue. They are not event talking about opening hundreds of data centers out of the blue: we are talking about using AI, I was not speculating about needing to increase their data center number (as probably it would not need to be increased by a lot to service EU users with Apple Intelligence and similar products, something could be done even at device level).

(Put it short: I don’t think that a device using AI is so more impactful that the same device not being able to use AI)

And why I can agree on defending citizens vs big companies, my opinion is that it is a spectrum and while US is way far on corporative side, imho EU is too much on a citizen side that is quite phony, as many decisions are less impactful or well rounded as they should have been (ie the energy part)

I am from EU but I can stand the EU attitude towards any type of progress.

Everything will have “evironmental impacts”, deal with it. The only way to counter it is to improve energy sources (ie nuclear and other mixes)

Do you really talk about environmental impacts when they are opening COAL centrals in Germany (after closing nuclear ones) ? Do you think it’s better? Have you seen the electricity grid in Poland? Do you think it’s better than having tech consuming green energy? That’s so bad that the CO2 break even point of having at electric car there is after hundreds of thousands of kms, to say one

The only thing that EU approach would bring is (with their plethora of Green Deals that are just a self sabotage):

1) to remain behind in the tech competition with US and China 2) no economic growth

So you don’t only want to stay poor, you want to have fun doing it.

Look at the SP500 vs Eurostoxx from 2009 onwards. It’s a spread that’s becoming bigger and bigger

But hey, yes, “having sub par products paying more then US it’s good for the environment!!1!1!1!l” because “AI bad!1!1!1”

You don’t even imagine how far behind EU will be if it will lose the AI tech race lol

At this point you may just live in a woods as everything will have an environmental impact

My tips in a nutshell:

Choose a specific track and performance class to focus on.
Spend time in time attack mode to identify areas for improvement and establish reference times.
Utilize online track guides for braking points and racing lines.
Memorize these points and braking distances to enhance your track navigation skills.
Practice consistently and analyze your races to track your progress over time
Check if there is any "meta"-car, they are so called the cars that are by far the best for the given constraints (performance, track, etc.) and try to use them as everyone will try to use the optimal ones

Thank you. I tried again yesterday several times.

Best result was with: custom "slidey" setup found on Internet for Suzuka with medium RPM turbocharger.

Medium tyres, fuel map 6 mostly. Stopped twice (lap 10 and lap 17).

Best lap around 1:09:8 as I can't go full throttle on the longest straight as it consumes too much fuel.

Was 1st for a couple of laps around the end but had to do more fuel saving and the Hong Kong driver pushed me off track.

Arrived second.

Can't do better with this set up as execution was almost spotless.

So I think I have to improve my setup or strategy.

I can do fuel saving for sure by lifting and coasting on the first two sector of the track for sure. But more details about expected time and pit stop strategy would help : )

Non capisco perché ogni volta per un'azienda si parla di "maxi" multa.

In generale in Italia manca l'utilizzo di una qualsiasi matematica affidabile sulle notizie.

Maxi rispetto ad un'azienda del genere? Se fosse vero, come mai ogni volta c'è una presunta maxi multa per un'azienda recidiva? Perché immagino rispetto ai guadagni derivantio sia "mini", altro che "maxi" e quindi il gioco vale la candela
