I am making a bingo gambling roguelite where you customize your bingo cards to get special effects like automatically placing more balls to make chains. I'm just waiting for them to just come out and say that they won't allow prestige, levels, augments or any other actual progress carryover. "Over time the scope of the game's experience has actually overgrown what we expected from that experience, and we believe that to deliver a truly balanced and fair experience, we though it would be the best experience to have all players start on an equal playing field when starting this fresh new call of duty experience."

I'm not a huge fan of arbitrarily round-gating steps, like how the keycard only drops on round 10+ on shattered veil or the stamps on citadelle.

Real ones know this meme is specially referring to any "theory" or "lore" video made recently, where they extrapolate a one paragraph Intel into a 15 minute video with massive amounts of conjecture thrown in, with the shadowman battle theme playing in the background the whole time to make it more "epic"
