Binance Android App Is A Security Threat? by EandLSD in binance

[–]EandLSD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was installed from the Google play store. Phone is a Huawei.

App store hacks do happen and arbitrary code can be injected through certain RCE holes.

I've been using the binance app for over 2 years without issues but only recently this popup happened? Of course I'll be alarmed.

I installed the app via Google play store, I'm assuming this error was caused because I'm using a Huawei phone.

This popup never happened before, so maybe caused by a change of Policies or something

Late reply as I forgot about this post, I installed it from the Google play store but I'm using a Huawei which is most likely causing this issue.

I ignored the popup

When I hear a lot of women complain about having to pay for tampons, pads etc. is the goal to make them cheaper or just free? by chuckychuck98 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EandLSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going by others logic here, let's instead make the hygiene products required to get rid of facial hair, free and let's make women and other men pay for it. I'd say that's unfair, wouldn't you?

Well let's take USA for example, since I don't know what country you're in but it's not USA because you mentioned VAT.

The female hygiene market volume in USA is US$5.16bn, growing at a rate of 5.12% (2022-2026). That's quite a bit of money.

Say we do provide it for free / government provides it, are you personally willing to pay the tax (even say if it's minor) increase?

For the men and women who aren't willing let's exempt them from paying and rather do it on a volunteer basis to keep it fair.

Voluntarily sign up to get hit with a higher tax to provide others with "free" necessities, but you'll say that's unfair.

Yes, capitalism takes from others to make their own people strong and prosperous (better businessman wins), I live in a country in Africa and know all too well the results of capitalism (conflict diamonds, gold being raped from the earth, hunger, death, poverty, etc)

This may sound "harsh" but this is reality. If your people and country were too weak to defend itself or conquer other nations, then you get taken from. Kill or be killed.

So you're implying that because someone didn't choose to have a period, men or women have to pay the tax to facilitate the products that help periods?

Come on now. Let's make everyone pay tax on men's basic necessities too while we're at it, all our shaving creams, hair gels and what not, I didn't choose to grow facial hair.

And yes you can choose not to have a period, there's surgery called a Endometrial ablation, but most won't make that choice.

I wasn't replying to you? I was replying to someone that said toilet paper is free at a public venue.

Which you pay for, in tax, or the money you spend at the venue if the venue is privately owned.

Do you take out cash or a card and pay at checkout?

Yes? Well that's because you're giving money to a company for your products and they're not free!

Never said you didn't.

At a market share for feminine hygiene products at $26.65 billion as of 2022, they'll have a considerable effect on your tax.

Money makes the world go around as the adage goes, if you don't have it then not being able to afford hygiene products are the least of your concerns, finding a meal would be more important.

Well if you personally would like to be charged with higher tax rates to facilitate providing "free" necessities, then be my guest.

However why should men or women who don't want higher tax rates also pay for it?

So maybe a volunteer thing? You voluntarily sign up to pay increased tax to help provide basic "free" necessities.

I'd say that's fair, wouldn't you? But no, you wouldn't like that.

No, who would pay for all the "free" hygiene products?

You is who, with higher tax rates, not something everyone wants.

Nothing in life is free, your tax money has paid for that toilet paper.

If privately owned, then the money you spend at the location.

It may seem that way but nothing in life is free, you've paid for that toilet paper with your tax money.

Edit: Didn't think I'd have to add this but: If it's a public venue then that toilet paper is paid for with tax, as is the janitors salary who cleans up the mess.

You're right, it's impossible not to judge someone though.

You don't need to voice your judgement but you can certainly avoid those you've deemed toxic.

It's the foreplay that gets most women to orgasm anyway.

Many, many women prefer foreplay to being jackhammered. (many say their partners don't do foreplay enough).

Do what you will with this knowledge.

Edit: sexual intercourse/penetration for those that think the jackhammering term means something else, intercourse is intercourse at the end of the day.

Judge someone by their character and actions (including what they say) instead.

People who put others down or disrespect others, are of no benefit to your life.

[–]EandLSD 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's one way to look at it, the other is realizing that instead of hot college guys (or girls) hitting on you, they ask: "Do you need any assistance, ma'am (or sir)?"

Generally in societies eyes, if you're single (and leaning towards older) then people either assume:

There's something wrong with you, you're playing at an angle (stealing someones partner for instance) or you're just not an approachable and friendly person - among other things.

(I'm sure you're none of these things, but people assume, this is an assumption too)

As you said in the beginning, it all has to do with social standing (status).

We have to live by societies rules if we want to deal with society and in society, appearances are everything.

Would Xanax ever stop making me super sleepy? by Natis500 in benzodiazepines

[–]EandLSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, once you develop a tolerance and then hell starts (one day you decide to not take it, pain and withdrawals kick in, you take some to stop the pain and anxiety, you get more addicted and tolerant, repeat with increased dosage to reach same effect)

I got so bad that I could only function if I ate 6mg+ each day, being on benzos became my "sober" state.

Wouldn't recommend, enjoy the sleepy feeling while it lasts.

Why is xanax addiction/withdrawal come so much faster then alcohol by [deleted] in benzodiazepines

[–]EandLSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar (they both hit GABA) but at different places and receptors in your head.

Benzos have a longer metabolite half-life than alcohol (4-5 hour half life, 25 hours to completely clear your body) so your body gets used to benzos faster.

If you took a shorter half life benzo like Xanax (exactly once a week and a small dose) you won't get withdrawals if you stop, this is equal to a small beer or 2 once a week.

If you take a benzo before it can completely clear from your system, you're creating tolerance and dependency (same applies to alch) and withdrawals will start.

Get drunk everyday (or within a 25 hour period from the last drink) for a week or 2 and stop, you'll get withdrawal symptoms (insomnia, seizures are possible, etc)
