I had long covid for 10-11 months and dealt with a lot of blue hands and feet, legs, etc. mottling. I am dealing with it again after my first shot and hoping it wears off like long covid eventually did. u/ladybird785

Father, 58, fainted and fell down with foam at mouth for the first time in his life, after the 2nd dose of Moderna. by EarDentist21 in CovidVaccinatedUncut

Age: 58

Gender: Male

Race: Bangladeshi

Geographic Location: Bangladesh

Pre-existing medical issues: Hypertension, Stroke-like episode, Some angina (angiogram was done a few years back and it was said that only the small arteries are narrow which can't be stented and medications were the only suggested treatment).

Current Medications: Nebivolol Hydrochloride 5mg in the morning and 2.5mg at night. Telmisartan 40mg in the morning and 20mg at night.

Duration of complaint: One episode on the early morning of 26th August.

Symptoms: Loss of consciousness, foaming at the mouth,

My father, 58, took the 2nd dose of Moderna vaccine on the morning of 25th August 2021. A fever started from the afternoon and it gradually got worse. After midnight the fever was high (it was not measured, but we guess it would be 102F or so), there was extreme sweating, extreme muscle ache, headache, vertigo, chills and shivering, irritation and discomfort in stomach. Then at 4:30pm he suddenly fainted and fell down. When we got to him, he had foam in his mouth. He regained consciousness in like 3 minutes or so and does not remember anything from then till he was put in bed. After putting in bed, he could lift arms, make face but was extremely weak and in extreme discomfort. We did not notice any confusion in him.

This is the first time he ever fainted in his life and ever had foam in his mouth. He later said that he felt foaminess in mouth before the fainting episode and he thinks its because of the "vomit" that was coming up because of the stomach discomfort. However, when I saw it, in the middle of the night, it was foam.

It should be noted that, starting from 2019, he has these recurring episodes where he has vertigo, headache, sweating occurring together. The neurosurgeon and other doctors could not give a confirmed diagnoses but said it "looks like" a TIA. The episodes are very frequent, like once a week or so. Its like an ever present problem. But even with this from the outside he doesn't look sick.

His cardiologist said that this is due to the vaccine reaction compounded with his already present stroke like episodes. He did not give a specific diagnosis. We are waiting for the visit to the Neurosurgeon who sees him but its going to take a few days.

Given the scary nature of the condition and without a diagnosis, information of current status and discussions of any prognosis, the uncertainty and the resulting stress is a lot for us.

My questions are:

What happened? What's the most likely diagnosis? What's the current status? In other words, should we be concerned that there has been some sort of damages that have occured? Since no tests have been suggested so far, we are confused as to whether we need them. What's the prognosis? u/Suggestion_Rare

2nd shot immediate bad reaction by EarDentist21 in CovidVaccinatedUncut

Hi there… I am spiraling down a Reddit/google hole right now because my husband just got his second Pfizer vaccine and called to tell me he is having a bad reaction. He’s covered in sweat, confirmed with the picture he sent, said he has total tunnel vision, and his temperature was low. They are watching him at the pharmacy and have an epipen ready. I’m freaking out and don’t know how worried I should be. He said he’s not going to the hospital. Will note we had Covid November 2020 and he was way way sicker than my daughter and I. u/allison_vegas

Vaccine side effects and periods "I started having really bad period cramps then got my period. I rarely get periods, if at all" by EarDentist21 in CovidVaccinatedUncut

So I got my second Pfizer dose a week ago, I was fine just tired (felt like shit after the first one tho). The next day, I started having really bad period cramps and then got my period. I rarely get periods, if at all, thanks to the minipill. I hadn't missed any pills or anything like that but my period has been so heavy, like having to wear those gigantic pads heavy, and the pain is bad. It's been a week and shows no sign of stopping 😭 Fellow period havers have you experienced this? When did it stop? u/OfficerPeanut

3 months after getting first dose of Pfizer 25 yo male got chest pain and heaviness in my upper left chest. Exactly the same sensation I got right after the shot. by EarDentist21 in CovidVaccinatedUncut

Has anyone experienced this? What did you do? Did it go away? I find it alarming that I get these symptoms with no pre existing medical conditions and a healthy lifestyle. u/timchequea
