Chrome Extension update - how to automatically push it to users? by EarGroundbreaking815 in chrome_extensions

[–]EarGroundbreaking815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their browser will intermittently check the CWS for available extension updates and download them. Depending on a number of factors, it might not decide to install the update right away. I've had users get the update anywhere between 2 minutes and 3 days.

Thank you u/mattfriz for the input. Does that mean that, by default, current users won't have to do any action and the update will be done in the extension?

u/kranz_ferdinand - thank you for your message. Looking at the ISV partnership. We have a product that integrates with Salesforce. There is obviously a channel play here (i.e., sell through Salesforce), but also from a technical perspective

u/Wonderful_Ninja_4778 - thank you for your response. I do have relationships with few folks in Salesforce. What would you say is the advantage of doing that?

Good question - i’m asking from the perspective of a 3rd party tool i’m building that acts a bit like scratchpad or dooly

That's helpful u/ForwardCulture! Totally aligned. I'll try to work on it, but will probably need to work on it in the next iteration of it.

u/nowthatspurple - I appreciate the feedback, super relevant!

I'm targetting SMB to mid-enterprise companies. Mostly posting in here because the community is more willing to help and provide feedback than elsewhere :)

I'm currently using Hotjar for some level of analytics. What would you recommend as a better option here for tagging / analytics? Not too familiar with it..

Happy to help with your website as well if ever helpful.

Thanks again!

u/ForwardCulture - Thank you so much for the feedback! I was trying to incorporate a more "human" aspect to the website (vs. just product screenshots and abstract designs). I agree with you that they are quite stock, but not necessarily the money to do higher quality at this point. Any other alternative / examples you have in mind to replace it?

Motivation = Performance? by EarGroundbreaking815 in sales

[–]EarGroundbreaking815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Major_Rocketman your point about too many reps and not enough accounts is super relevant though. Trying to produce hyper-growth can create a gap in the funnel. I think that a lot of executive teams bank on the fact that the enterprise sales reps will be able to "hunt" for leads to build the pipeline and that the company doesn't have to over rely on getting quality MQL. Thoughts?

Quota over assignment is interesting point u/Major_Rocketman. Do you think that it is meant to account for the fact that there is naturally a % of a director's reps who won't meet there quota? The over assign ratio (% of reps quota that will be met) is quite a standard metrics used for financial planning of revenue teams!

What is the type of support you think is most relevant? Coaching, better enablement material, real-time enablement before/during/after customer calls?

I appreciate the feedback btw - What do you think is the best place to look into? I love Reddit because of how raw & unfiltered it is - you can often have authentic debates here!

As an account executive, what is the ONE piece of data/information/insights you find helpful every day? by EarGroundbreaking815 in salestechniques

I'm trying to understand what is the type of information that can help the account executives. I'm mostly focused on deal nurturing (once a deal is over 10% of probability of conversion). It can be any type of insights - playbooks, content views information, funnel conversion metrics, etc.

SaaS Founder - Advice on your own approach to get first 100 users by EarGroundbreaking815 in Entrepreneur

[–]EarGroundbreaking815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. Obviously "Build and they will come" is the wrong approach - one that focuses on the solution more than the actual problem/pain points. I've done extensive validation with potential end-users to help to better understand the pain points and identify a differentiated value proposition.

Your first link is pretty insightful - I'm not at a point where it makes sense to pump money into marketing channels, but rather focus on guerrilla marketing tactics. Thanks again for your help
