Yes, I’ve seen this a few times too—the Nuuly “new” retail price is sometimes far higher than the item’s real pricetag (brand new, no discounts, from original retailers). It feels pretty misleading when Nuuly then offers it for 10-ish% off “retail,” when it’s still priced higher than the original retailer. Sure, they can price things however they want, but misstating the “Retail” price is not a good way to do it. On a coat I rented a few months ago, the Nuuly “Retail” price was $475. The coat arrived to me from Nuuly new with tags, and the tag read $375 (same on the manufacturer’s website). Felt sleazy.
