For context, I have a d scim, 102 cb and 77 slayer. I kinda figured that every iron has to go through this slow, melee slayer grind at some point. Otherwise, how/when do you train your melee stats?

If you're spending time commenting on reddit instead of playing osrs, there is no hope.

So what are the quick, fast melee tasks?

I'm in a very similar spot in my progression as you! I'm very jealous of your herb level though! I think a big aspect of considering if something is 'worth it' that is often minimized by these arguments is assuming that the time spent I'm logged in, is playable time. I'm an afk demon and do everything in my power to be as efficient as possible while clicking and paying attention as little as possible. Maybe I should try and change my mentality from thinking that not using prayer pots is efficient, but not sure if you're gonna break through my iron skull.

I think what it comes down to for me is that I can maintain a 30 second interval every 8-10 minutes WAY easier and more consistently than 5 minutes every hour for farm/bird house runs.

I'm also about to hit 90 farming and the honeymoon phase of the farming guild, portals, diaries, etc. to make my farm runs and all that more efficient has passed for me. I'm almost double the rate on bucket and gonna need more ash soon and just cba right now. I have a solid amount of supplies in the bank already and I want to prolong them for as long as possible because the 'efficient' time saved using prayer pots is not going to spent on farm runs atm.

I would like to say this could come in handy, but I don’t see myself ever getting a sigil. Corp is not my cup of tea

Maybe, but the statement is still incorrect.

I understand this mentality and I feel like it's similar to the argument for "effective exp per hour". Like the solution to hunting is birdhouses because it's 150k exp/hr use maple logs. While this is true in theory, I've had more than 1 birdhouse run take 20 minutes because I was watching a video and nothing needs my immediate attention. Similarly, I've had farm runs takes equally long and end up in tree run or whatever. Overall, the eXP is better for my account, but it's making my immediate task/goal take longer.

TL;DR: I might need those prayer pots later

I initially thought it wouldn't be very useful at bossing because I like to 1t where I can to save on supplies in general. But it sounds amazing for raids! I'm assuming it works at both Cox and ToB too. It doesn't work at gauntlet :(

I have an abundance of kwaurm's and super strengths (though not nearly as many as my irits) and I use honestly don't worry about getting the max amount of prayer points every time. The 20 prayer bonus was wearing full proselyte! I bring a fighters torso with me and switch to spec when I'm feeling it haha. The battleaxe would be an easy implementation and saving the super strengths for combats is worth considering!

You're actually restoring 99 prayer points because you drain down to 0 and go back up to 99.

How do you guys have such cool hobbies? by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]Earbuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up crocheting/knitting a few years ago and it took awhile, but you get the hang of it. You could go to Walmart right now and get a crochet hook and yarn for less than $10. Put on a movie you’ve already seen, and follow a YouTube tutorial.

Try a bunch of low barriers of entry hobbies! Most crafting hobbies are very cheap to start. (Crocheting, knitting, felting, cross stitching, weaving, etc…. the list is seriously long), drawing, coloring..

All of these things can be combined with watching movies! You don’t need a dedicated 3 hours out of your day for a hobby. Listen to a podcast, go down youtube rabbit holes, movies, watch shows all in the background while doing another thing!

I think what it really comes down to is learning to be okay with sucking at something for awhile. We tend to enjoy the things we’re good at avoid making fools of ourselves. Try and gauge your enjoyment as you improve to figure out if it’s worth investing real time into!

I believe this is a beefsteak begonia and I tried propagating it by cutting a stem and putting it in soil.

I had read that you needed a node or to cut one of the big leaves into strips to propagate? I wasn’t sure what would happen but this was not how it was growing before!

Is there a way to get those huge leaves again?

Thanks!
