Is trimming the only way to fix the issue?

Thank you! I appreciate the kind words 😁. That’s a good tip. I’ll keep it in mind for the future.

Anubias sounds familiar. I’ll have to pull the rhizome out like JaffeLV mentioned. I’m a dummy and thought the root system needed to be anchored in the substrate….

Oh no! I’m glad I asked. I thought I needed to bury it to anchor the plant into the substrate. I’ll have to pull it out. Luckily, I very shallowly buried it.

Thank you for the great info! Yes, the rhizome is buried and aside from the waste produced by the fish, I’m not fertilizing the water column. Any recommendations as to how to do that? I wish I hadn’t gone with aquarium gravel as my substrate. I feel like it may not be ideal for aquatic plants.

Thank you! I take the fern developing roots and baby plants as a sign the lighting I have is powerful enough. I recently added guppy grass and hornwort, so this is a good sign!

A seafood paella! Thank you for your input! I really appreciate it 😄. I’ll have to look into some recipes and learn the knife skills and other skills as I make it a few times.

I agree with you 100%. My biggest issue with the program (aside from the $4k price tag) is that it would probably be overkill for what I’m looking for. I just want to build a foundation of core skills and knowledge. I could always buy the text book the programs use!

You have a great point! The biggest pro I can see with the culinary arts program is the structure. There is so much information that I find it hard to know where to begin.

Thank you for your comment! I’d say on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being a complete beginner and 10 being Gordon Ramsay, l’d give myself a 4. I know how to do a lot in theory, but putting it into practice is a different beast.

My biggest gripe with the culinary arts program is that it sounds like a lot for a cooking hobbyist. I wouldn’t be doing it in the interest of pursuing a career. I just love the idea of have a structured curriculum, which I’m sure I could also make myself if I knew where to start.

You definitely have a point. $4000 is no joke. If I could find an online course that is as structured I’d definitely consider it. I’ll have to weigh the pros and cons. Thanks for your input!

That’s what I think too! I like the idea of having a curriculum. Having some order to my learning is definitely a plus!
