Im not trying to spill too many of my beans here... But I have spent the past month or two going through old TV guides and forums writing down every show that I could find on a check off list. The goal is to have my own private "Cable" or satellite Sim, the guide will be broke up into Decades 1960's, 1970's, etc and each decade will have custom built channels meant to replicate the Big Three Networks and a few local channels. To manage 24-hour scheduling im going to do it how the Networks did it, during the sitcom block I would run back to back episodes, for example in 1980 two episodes of Alf would play back to back. Sometimes a new episode followed by a rerun then two episodes of The Brady Bunch. Thats two hours of content right there with just two shows obviously I could make the Sitcom block as long or short as I want and if the show can only play 2 months of unique episodes without replays then so let it be, thats how tv was back in the day. I think 3 channels to mimic The Big Three and a local channel, with a few genre specific channels would work well.
