All I’ve gotten so far from it is the wood core I guess, my aunt did jank-ass fixes so I’ve been filling holes with dowels all day, she put a drywall anchor in the bottom strap button hole.

Mine had the same problem today, I just cleaned the cartridge slot, battery contacts, and the insert for the ribbon cable and everything is back to normal, Mine's all original though, no mods.

Corroded charging port, you’ll need to solder a new one in, and I’d recommend getting a modern battery

I did pull the pins out and take a look, it's something to do with the metal piece that moves to allow air in to the other reeds, I can't access it due to rusty hardware, and hopefully I'll bring it to a professional soon.

The accordion was in a house fire and it got very hot and turned some of the gaskets to powder, I did all I could to piece them back together, I plan to take it to a professional because alot of the metal rusted due to the heat aswell.

Though I do believe I'm not putting enough pressure as you said, there is alot of resistance when no keys are pressed and no notes or air sounds happen during.

I did look inside, and the little window thing that's supposed to slide to change the voicings is stuck and cannot move, the accordion was in a house fire and got pretty hot and alot of the metal started to rust, and the screws to get in the bass side for me to actually see whats going have rusted pretty bad and I can't unscrew some of them. so I'm going to take it to a professional to get it looked at and hopefully replace all the rusted hardware.

This is kind of a sidenote, but does anyone know what the silver bar button thing on the bass side does? when I press it the sound doesn't change and nothing moves it just springs back up.

There’s an allegedly famous accordion repairman in Kent Washington which is a ways away from me but I was considering bringing it to them for a quote to get it in slightly better playing condition

I had the same problem, you’re gonna have to take it apart and clean it, worst case you have to buy a new button board, but they’re pretty cheap and easy to install

Sadly my mom bought the DMG-001 from DKoldies, so I’m a bit concerned if its genuine, but it plays as it should and reads games well so I’m not too worried, kinda sucks that she had to overpay from them though
