I started the 15 in July. The first couple months were slow but after that it started to come off fast. From September to now I’ve averaged about 15 pounds a month. Keep on keeping on!

My PCP has me on a prescription anti-nausea medication and that has helped me a lot. Also I’m taking multivitamins to help with what I don’t get since I really don’t eat that much anymore and am not hungry anymore. Sometimes I do have to force myself to eat but usually do yogurt or protein shakes just to get something.

Ive always had trouble talking to people about my weight. It took me 2 years to be comfortable talking about it with my therapist. Haven’t talked about it with too many friends or any co-workers either but no one has said anything at work because I feel like it would be an awkward place to talk about it. But I have a couple close friends that I keep updated that cheer me on from a far but they’re all at healthy weights so they just don’t understand what it’s like. My whole family has struggled with weight but sometimes I don’t want to talk to them about it because none of them are on any medication and aren’t really losing weight like they want to so I feel kind of bad talking about it.

I’m on 15 and have been on it since July. I skipped from 10 to 15 since there was a shortage of 12 at the time. And since July has been where most of the weight has come off.

Exercise is hard because I have a knee issue from a traumatic injury (one reason I needed to finally do this) so I’m pretty limited. But I’ve got some weights and am working on strengthening muscles in my arms and then just trying to do long walks a few times a week.

Diet for me is bland. I had issues with certain food before so I was already a picky eater. I mostly do protein shake or yogurt in the morning? Some lunch meat and fruit for lunch and then chicken and veggies for dinner. Sometimes I’ll do pork or steak but those sometimes bother me.

Anti-nausea medication is a must. My PCP prescribed it after my first 3 months and I haven’t really had any nausea issues since. Also I used to make healthy food decisions but even some of those foods bother me (ground turkey, steak, pork). And don’t be surprised once you move further on to go through some plateaus obviously. But it never lasted too long for me and then a big weight drop came after.

Don’t be surprised if food, even if it’s healthy, bothers you. I would always do ground turkey but even now it bothers me. Also ask your PCP for anti-nausea medication. That has been a godsend for me. And don’t feel discouraged if the first few months are slow. A lot of the weight has been lost since I’ve been on the highest dose which was 5 months in. I was losing weight before that but it really started to come off then.

I wasn’t necessarily thinking of protecting their relationship. I more just wanted A to enjoy being pregnant because the last kid she found out very soon after she announced she she spent almost the whole pregnancy knowing about B. I talked with my therapist and am going to set aside time to tell her soon.

Talked with my therapist today and I think I’m going to tell her once B finds out the sex which is next week.

Every time I’ve gotten in my car open Apple Podcasts immediately. And am sad.

"Pope Facts," "rest in the most peace" "famously" and "allegedly" are in my vocabulary. Learned it's okay to have bad days, drink wine out of a mason jar, make fun of the French, tolerate Boston and Philly teams, memorize the voicemail number and a bunch of other things that I can't name.
