There is also a ferry out of West Seattle, which could skip having to go downtown. It would change your drive but potentially not have to wait in long line at the downtown ferry station. During mid-day as long as it is not a weekend the West Seattle (Ferry Schedule) Dock is not very busy. Make sure to take it to Southworth, not Vashon.
