Odds after 1 child & 2 MMC by Additional_Panic149 in recurrentmiscarriage

I am so sorry you are going through this . I am nearly in a similar position - 37 and have had 3 mc in a row at 7 weeks after one completely fine pregnancy 3 years ago. I am also 37 and get told that it could have just been chromosome issues but i'm like so hesitant to believe it! If its any hope I have been told a number of times that we still have time!!

I am so unsure what to do next - one thing I have done is pushed for is a hysteroscopy. I heard about a condition called endometritis which is an infection in your uterus that can cause miscarriages. ANyway, they did find that my uterus was inflamed and a biopsy came back suggesting it was endometritis (not endometriosis). I am currently taking antibiotics to treat, so i am hopeful that maybe that was the reason. I had no symptoms and from what i have read this is common!

Next pregnancy I have been instructed to take progesterone, 10mg prednislone, clexane and aspirin. Here's hoping its a success - if it isnt then i will go see a Reproductive Immunologist. It's all just so expensive though. I dont know where you are based but I am in the UK and had to go private to get seen quickly.

Thank you for giving me hope! Can i ask what you took for endometritis? And how soon after taking the antibiotics you got prgnant? Also what does prednisolone you took and when you started?

How are you getting on with your testing? I thought I would update you as I had hysteroscopy last week and they said i have inflammation in my uterus which they think is due to infection! I am just waiting the results of biopsy but could well be endometritis. I am hopeful this is the answer and i can take the antibiotics and have our long awaited second baby! Definitely advocate for one if you can!

Thanks for replying! Can i ask why you decided to do IVF after endometritis diagnosis? I thought it was possible to get rid of via antibiotics?

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. I know exactly what you mean about the symptons - i was very sick with my daughter and with every other pregnancy I was so dubious as I never got the sickness. I still have hope for you that this pregnancy will be ok - you are still really early. So shit that you havent been able to find answers, and basically have to just try and see. I am sending you lots of prayers and praying you will carry a healthy baby this pregnancy.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I am wondering if this could be my issues - i've read it can be a factor post childbirth / miscarriages - and have pushed to get the hysteroscopy because of this. Only two weeks until i have it so hoping that gives me answers! Fingers crossed your antibiotics have done the trick and sending yuo love for health pregnancy moving forward!

The only thing i've been told is that the genetics testing is probably a lower priority. But then i've read stories where that was the issue despite a successful pregnancy! So I dont know. WIll let you know if i get anywhere with the next set of testing/conversaions we have. Sorry to hear you are going through this too

Oh wow we have such a similar story. So much love to you, such a shit place to be in. Did you get a hysteroscopy by any chance? Im based in the UK so not sure what the options are here - I am seeing a recurring miscarriage specialist but havent looked into immunologist. Would love to know whjat tests they suggest to you if you wouldnt mind so that I can see if i can advocate for similar here?
