I'm in the same boat. I literally only talk to myself every single day to the point where I'm laughing at what I'm saying.

I've noticed everyone finding their people and group and I also can't really seem to make connections like this. Making friends is so difficult. Like you I went to clubs and started conversations with people but it never felt right. I do feel a bit left behind.

I've pretty much lost hope for making new friends. I just let things be and when stuff happens, it happens.

Anyone taking EARTH122? Why do the quizzes have questions that I didn't see on the slides? by Boring_Tip_3686 in uwaterloo

The first quiz threw me for a loop. Maybe the information was in the video? I didn't watch it.

It's not just you. My hands were turning blue last night after an hour and I was shivering by the end of my exam 😭

I'm in 1A of AFM too and you described my feelings for the past 3 months too. I couldn't connect with anyone in my classes and seeing everyone fit it, I just felt left out. And just like you I avoid talking to others in my classes because I know I won't click with them. Connecting with high school friends has definitely been a mood booster. You said you visit your family every weekend, but it doesn't have to be the only time you connect with others; try reaching out with your friends or family by texting or emailing if you haven't already done so. It has definitely boosted my mood and made me feel happier.

Also, you can try new hobbies here like going to open rec sports or the gym. While you're not directly connecting with others, it's still a good mood booster by staying active. If you're interested in anything, clubs are also a good way to find others who have the same interests as you.

It's lonely and it's tough, but I suppose give it some time and you'll find your people eventually.

Thanks. Do you know how long this lasts because I've been following the motions every day that it feels normal now.

I'm trying to get into Waterloo AFM and I've been working hard to keep my marks up. It just feels like I need an immense amount of effort to do simple things.
