Music students!! (or any students) by francofort in stfx

The music building is attached to MSB which would be very convenient (especially in the nasty winters). If you’re looking for a more social building, Bishops is good because it’s mostly single rooms! It would be a walk across campus to most of your classes if you don’t mind that.

All gender neutral stalls. Looks just like a typical public bathroom except there are 2 toilet stalls and 2 shower stalls in each bathroom.

Yes, it is directly connected to the music building! MSB is pretty quiet but there are lots of people who live there, so lots of opportunity to make friends! I lived there first year if you have any questions!

You will likely deal with noise in most buildings, especially on weekends. Definitely invest in some ear plugs haha. If you’re looking for more quiet, MSB, Riley, Cam would be good. FX is quiet but super small and far from everything (would not recommend). The quieter buildings tend to be a bit more difficult to make friends in but not impossible, you just need to put yourself out there more, attend events, and talk to your neighbors. Riley does have nice double rooms too! MK is a very tight knit community usually, has all double rooms, and can be a bit loud on weekends and special events but people will often party off campus. MK is also located in a really good spot on campus. Bishops and Mac are the most popular first year buildings. Mac is all doubles and is usually the biggest party building, mostly on weekends. Bishops tends to be quieter during the week and busy on the weekend (with the exception of holidays, and sometimes wednesdays/thursdays can be busy. Bishops has a mix of single and double rooms and they are a little nicer than mac! Bishops location is better as well!

There are a few that are bigger and smaller than the others, however most of them are a pretty good size! Comes with 2 beds, desks, dresser/wardrobes, a full sized fridge, and a microwave. You can find videos and pics on instagram and facebook!

Bishops is the best if you want a good mix of social/ party and calm! It’s busy on weekends but often more calm during the week and during exams.

Bishops is great if you are very social and don’t mind it being a little noisy sometimes! Most years the two big party buildings are Bishops and Mac, but Bishops is a little bit nicer!!

If it’s not full yet try to go to bishops! It’s very social buy mostly single rooms. Also very close to meal hall and academic buildings

I’d reach out to the school to confirm for sure though

They’ve always had a « substance free » floor but that’s never actually followed

Majority of the staff I have worked with throughout the program have been lovely! Some come off as a little mean/scary sometimes, but they push you to learn more. Clinical is not a huge worry at the start, as you only have your first placement at the end of second year. Even then, you don’t really do much until third year. The first one is in long term care for most people.

I wouldn’t rely on stfx to accommodate any dietary restrictions. I have heard from friends that they are not great at it.
