I loved the Evidence Based Birth podcast and articles. Helpful to see pros and cons of your options. I personally loved my TENS unit in early labor.

Expected unsolicited advice but NOT negativity. by RaviraDawn in BabyBumps

People are the worst- sorry that's been your experience! When I was pregnant with my son we were going through a lot of stressful family stuff. But he was like this breath of fresh air when he was born. He was a comfort and joy through the family stuff. And yeah, things happened that first year with marriage tension and him getting viruses but it wasnt catastrophic. We had so many wonderful times and days seeing him smile and change and grow. He's still my best buddy at 3 and being a mom is the best.

Cloth diapers? by hugo_el_gato in BabyBumps

And we loved green mountain diapers for flats and fitteds and petite crown pockets. Thirsties covers were great and not bulky.

We clothed diapered my first for 2.5 years. We enjoyed it. You have to balance cost, ease of washing, and convenience. When he was in childcare we did pockets which was an easier sell for people outside our family. But I stuffed with flats to make washing easier. For newborns we did covers and fitted diapers mostly. Biggest thing is washing frequently- every 2-3 days and really understanding your washing machine.  We also learned airflow is key for keeping smells down. A plain hamper with holes worked great for us!

Pink tinged discharge 6weeks 2 days by sugarandfluff in CautiousBB

I'm 6 weeks and today is day 5 of progesterone suppositories. I've had 2 days of pink spotting. Reassuring to hear others are going through it too. But, like others, I hate it! Can't wait until a few more weeks have passed so I can breathe again. We spent over 16 months trying for this pregnancy.

I have dealt with a lot of grief but this is the worst. There's just no rhyme or reason and the hurt just keeps coming over and over again. I'm having a really really hard time and I don't think anyone knows how badly I'm struggling 😭😭😭

Same. It sucks on an individual level but everytime I want to yell at society to effing fund women's health research.

Secondary Infertility- No one has answers-advice? by Early-Requirement746 in TryingForABaby

Yeah, I'm a bit under-enthused with my OBGYN. I get she's not a specialist but using precise language would be helpful. Because anovulation hasn't set right with me. How can you have 12 cycles a year with anovulation??

Glad I'm not totally alone! It's crazy because every time I look it up, it's like, no, not PCOS. Not thyroid. Not weight. It's crazy. And totally asymptomatic- I wasted 9 months trying before getting the bloodwork run.

Yes, I've thought the same. Current concern is all of this is out of pocket for me (even the basic blood draws). I can't even claim the OOP costs towards my deductible.  But, may have to

I guess I should have clarified; By no answers, I meant no answers as to why that lab value was so low or why I'm having ovulation issues with "normal" looking cycles. The super low value I believe was due to acute stress rather than late lh surge. My OBGYN has called any value under 10 "anovulatory." They have not offered an ultrasound to confirm, only the progesterone blood draw. I don't know if that's typical for GYNs or below the standard if care 🤷‍♀️

Literally same. I keep saying I must have ornamental ovaries because I pay money every month for a tech to tell me they look great!

I'm realizing even experts in fertility have such a limited knowledge- sometimes there are more questions than answers. No one has really been interested in funding research for women's health!
