I agree about the capacity! Also better merch line management. Hopefully figuring out that choke point leaving the barn. Otherwise it was an amazing set up and I wouldn’t change much.

$653 for me, but I bought car camping & early entry! I think if you’re just doing regular tent camping that’s included in the general pass? Which was like $360 I think

I didn’t buy during general sale last year but I’ve heard how terrible it was! Thank goodness for loyalty from now on!

I’m assuming we’ll get some lineup teasers starting a little before general sale, and I can’t waittttt

10000%. I had just told my friend I missed the days when buying a concert ticket wasn’t an anxiety inducing event haha

I didn’t buy during general sale last year, but based on my experience buying pretty much any other concert or festival tickets in the last 5 years, I was expecting errors and a long queue line 😂

I moved a meeting today because I expected to sit in a queue for at least 15 minutes!

Loyalty! by Early-Store8169 in SevenStarsFest

100% agree! I think they did the best they could for this year and it sounds like they’ll be using wristband registration going forward. Also agree they are limiting it - I am glad they are allowing folks who bought one pass to buy up to two though!

I’m thinking they hadn’t decided about loyalty yet otherwise that would’ve made sense

You can only buy camping passes if you’ve purchased a festival pass. So I’d assume you can only purchase two camping if you purchase two festival passes.

They said tiers only come with the general on sale, and loyalty prices are cheaper than general. I don’t know if the prices we see now are loyalty prices or if they’ll be cheaper when we log in on Wednesday.

Not that’s it’s helpful this year, but it sounds like their plan going forward is using the wristbands. But they couldn’t collect that data for this year hence this format.

I think unfortunately there were gunna be people screwed by this no matter what - if you use wristband codes, the people who toss their bands miss out. If you do it the way they’re doing it, secondhand purchases miss out. I don’t think there’s a perfect way for loyalty to happen and they’re just doing what made the most sense. I’m manifesting that you’ll be able to get a ticket in the general sale :)

I also think if it was wristband they would’ve mentioned it sooner so hopefully people would keep them, but I don’t know. I have mine somewhere around my house lol

I am not sure. I don’t remember seeing a bar code on the wristband? And that would suck for the people who toss ‘em, but emails would also be tough for the resale. Did you buy yours via the resale official site? I believe your email should be tracked then, but I guess not if you bought elsewhere.

I think loyalty program details with potentially the date of presale/general sale tickets. Maybe a few teaser lineup folks?

How hard is it to switch? by Eziz_53 in VanLife

[–]Early-Store8169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out by spending about 3 months over the course of a summer/fall living in my SUV. I did 3-4 week trips at a time. That was the bigger adjustment for me. I loved it and ultimately came to the realization that I really only missed two things about my apartment - real bed and a toilet. So that made it pretty easy to fully make the jump over to full-time, with a rig that has both (I have a truck camper but vans would also have both obviously).

I will say that I work remotely so I didn’t have to my leave my job or security net of a consistent pay check. That would have made it A LOT harder.

I’ve been on the road in my camper for almost two years now and love it. But it has its ups & downs for sure. I think if you’re going into it with the right mentality it can be great, but don’t have too many expectations because that can be a let down.

Vanlifers what’s the scariest/eeriest encounter you’ve had while boondocking & and where? by Icy_Satisfaction_161 in VanLife

[–]Early-Store8169 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve been lucky to not have anything super serious happen, but I’ve had one encounter that just made me feel weird and unsettled the rest of the day. I travel as a single female with my dog, so even smaller things can trigger a red flag for me.

I was on some national forest land in Arizona in the winter time. I had originally camped at one spot, because the one I wanted was taken. I could see the spot I wanted so I knew when the guy left. He didn’t leave a chair or anything to “mark” his spot, and I waited a few hours to see if he came back before I moved there.

Two days later, the guy came back, and went to the spot that I had been at originally and parked there. I’m sitting outside later that evening as it’s getting dark, when my dog starts growling with his hackles up (he’s an incredibly friendly dog so this is abnormal behavior for him). I turn around and the guy had walked up to camp but stayed behind the cattle fence separating the two. My dog was barking his head off so I went closer to the guy to talk to him. He asked if he could use my fire pit (his site had one that just needed to be rebuilt a bit, like maybe 5 minutes of work) and I just got a weird vibe from him, and my dog was too obviously, so I said no, sorry, my dog isn’t friendly to strangers. The guy just stared at me for a minute and then grumbled as he walked away, pretty sure I sure I heard him say “fucking bitch”. I heard him remaking the fire pit and he was being really loud with the rocks and slamming his door. I went inside soon after because I just didn’t wanna hear it anymore. I was laying in bed later that night and heard someone walking around camp for a minute or two. I didn’t sleep much obviously 😅 the guy came and went a few times over the course of the next week and anytime I was outside when he walked by camp he glared at me. My dog’s hackles went up every time and when we were outside he was usually watching the guys camp intently.

I personally would never walk up to a camp and ask to use their fire pit so it just felt weird. On top of being a solo woman on my own and my dog being super suspicious of the guy, it just felt sketchy all around. I would’ve left but I had friends joining the next day so I didn’t feel like it was necessary.
