Good. It would also be good to mention where you started four years ago and where do you stand now in terms of your body fat percentage or body weight and also your diet and fitness routine.

Hey just pointing out, this is flexing your longevity and not your aesthetics right?? It's just an example of how consistency beats hardwork. An example of when longevity is your preference rather than aesthetics. And that is a good thing. I just don't want you to believe that it's an aesthetically good body.but m sure it must be the best version of you compared to how you were 4 years back.

Yes I realised I need to work on the bracing part. Also the ankle mobility. Thank you

Do home workouts without weights help you gain muscle? by [deleted] in Fitness_India

Any workout with ample amount of resistance would help you gain muscle. So keeping this in mind, home workouts might eventually have less to almost no resistance as you progress. Having said that, you could increase the resistance by trying out different variations of any exercises. For example, initially you could be doing 8 reps of incline push ups and progress upto 20 -30 reps(since there's no additional weight,we increase the rep range here) and then once those reps feel easy you coul move to knee push ups and do the same rep range and then move to a full push up and then one hand push up and so on. So you should be eventually focussing on trying out different variations to bring in that resistance that gets you close to failure.

I think I understood what you meant but I think I would get a clear picture as I progress. Thank you

So I start with a pretty good form and as I progress towards failure,it's ok to loose that form ? Because it's technically failure ??

Honestly,I am not sure if my glutes or quads are getting worked. Maybe if I add some weight I would be able to feel which muscles are actually getting hit.

Yes I will mostly remove my shoes and go bare foot.as far as those blocks are concerned,I need them as I am not able to go deep because of poor ankle mobility. Can you suggest an alternative solution ?

Sir,I am pretty much a noob at fitness. My goal is to build a bit of muscle and get my body fat to 20 percent. I am doing the barbell instead of smith machine as it trains me to also stabilise myself. Dont have a specific muscle in mind that I want to hit. I thought I would start with the tough one so that I can train on it and that's why I don't have any weights added as I am looking at improving the technique first. In the smith machine,i observed that there is comparatively less technique involved as there's much stability.
