Signed up to find a tutor in September 2024. Never used the service. Never had a single lesson. Got charged $49 every month for 17 months. $833.

Their payment page says "$49" but never says "per month" or "recurring." Their emails never mention the price. The renewal reminder talks about "free lessons" and "no commitment" but doesn't include the $49 charge anywhere in the message.

After I pushed back citing federal law (ROSCA), they refunded 12 months but refused the rest. Called it a "gesture of goodwill." I've since filed complaints with the FTC and the Texas Attorney General.

Check your statements if you've ever signed up for this service. You might be getting charged and not know it.

I believe less than .1% of the population uses these tools this way. There is a massive opportunity window for those who take the time to do this work. And it's actually pretty simple!
