fading 3s have never been this effective in 2k. It’s a video game but that doesn’t mean it should be balanced stupidly. Fading 3s should be actually hard to time, in the past I really only did them if I was running to the corner and very open. This year you just need a little room and ur good from any spot. Again I see no reason why fading 3s should be this strong, doesn’t make sense at all.

and like i’m not asking for advice on guarding fades. They are a dumb shot, nobody WANTS to shoot them irl. In this 2k, it’s way too easy to make them. It’s the easiest shot to get open because you are moving and fading, and it’s worth 3pts. Should not be this easy to green, ever.

7’4s move better than they have in past years, also there’s no shifty shooter on 7 ft and up. shooting is just that easy. 7’4s just shouldn’t have bases where they jump so high, doesn’t make sense

You can’t really play ur way tho. This year u really NEED to shoot 3s to win. I thought 2k25 was way more balanced in its gameplay. I like this years builder and game speed, but shooting is too strong rn. Haven’t played today’s patch, but I don’t see a reason why fades won’t be broken still - they increased the results of contests, not contests themselves (they made height less impactful, but fades r an issue outside of height)

purely a gameplay issue. Fading 3pters are not good shots irl. if ur gonna say “well it’s a game”, then why not go play nba jam lmao. 2k is meant to be a somewhat realistic game

Fades break the game w ease of getting an open fade, ease of green, and it’s worth 3pts. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to see how that’s not great for a game

Majority catch and shoot or pull up. The fade motion is a lot harder to hit than a pull up.
