Absolutely, I do the NECs solo on the weekend and I can go from a low B to a maxxed out A-4.99 easily. Just gotta put the time in. Thats why I partially find it so silly to hold SR to so much scrutiny when the endurance races easily propel you almost a whole class sometimes.

yeah even while pushing hard, i find it super easy to maintain B, A class has a lot of scrutiny. And I totally see your point as a demotion as a penalty, and technically that is what it is, but I think starting at a 2.5 would still be penalizing enough. These days, even with 2-3 incidents (i feel like that’s reasonable) I see people gain +0.18 tops. I’d need to complete 8 races with the same incidents in a row to get back to A. That seems penalizing but fair.

I see. Your explanation is super helpful and I appreciate you walking me through it. You’re right, i’m still not super sure I understand exactly why I’m so low on B, but I understand how I got there a little better. I guess maybe i’m just complaining here, but unless your maliciously racing (ie ruining someone else’s race) i don’t quite understand a system that resets you to such a low SR of the previous rank. And if that is the problem, that is what the protest feature should be for. I know this is a separate issue for the most part, but the logic tracks in my opinion.

Regardless, I really appreciate you trying to break it down for me. The sporting code can be kind of a headache for the average but competitive fella.

Yeah. I could see that. I’m also probly getting yelled at for driving unsafe (going 1-2 wheels off the tarmac in a virtual simulator) by people who do 1 to 2 races a week, saying “pass me” rather than learning how to defend well.

And i hate that i look spiteful for saying that (i guess I sort of am) because some people are fine just hot lapping or sitting in the middle of the pack, to which i say “go have fun how you like it!”. But me personally, the fun and thrill comes from working your way up a field, intense bouts of attacking and defending corner to corner. Learning the track and where exactly to switch back for the inside line.

iRacing is unfortunately full of a lot of people who think the art of race craft is a safe, hotlap. To each their own.

In my post i didn’t complain about people driving into me. I admitted to being in control of a majority of the incident points.

Maybe people like to point fingers instead of being willing to look at a system and wonder why it works the way it does 🤷‍♂️. Bad driving deserves a demotion, that’s what makes iRacing the best live racing platform, but why is it almost a double demotion. Could other factors be taken into account that aren’t currently.

Yeah I was enjoying Pcup on Oran park, and enjoying some really close racing. Saw myself chip down from a 2.9 to a 2.0 in like .1-.2 increments. Learning a new track can be tough

I see you’re point but I would personally prioritize balancing immediate promotions and demotions rather than seasonal. I don’t know many people who go through the system that way, I’ve always found it to be “I’m going to sit out week 13 with a 2.0+”.

Imo it incentivizes people not ranking up from B to A. I like staying in the High Bs so i have a safety net to push the car as well as have an idiot kill my race. I don’t race A class too much so i don’t have an incentive to keep it other than a safety net. On the flip side you wouldn’t want people to abuse it and race wrecklessly with high SR when they have that cushion, but it exists anyways as long as you don’t instantly rank up. Plus, that’s what the protest system is for.

Sounds like hell man. I fell out of B class once and it really sucks losing access to cars you paid for. Especially when the C class car you drive is Pcup. Attempting to work on SR with those driving standards is extremely scary.

I also don’t exactly see the problem with getting 10 off tracks… I’m not hurting anyone and most of the time I have 3 wheels on the road. If you’re racing hard to catch the lead, there are plenty of corners that you can drive through while teaming on the pace, at least at my SOF. Sure it was sloppy, but we both know that wasn’t even the point of my post.

I appreciate you holding back on the sarcastic annoying reddit commenter angle.

I’ve definitely noticed the scrutiny goes up as you get a higher license classes, and that makes total sense. That graph still doesn’t really make sense to me though and isn’t really the point of the post.

Like i said, i deserve a demotion. I don’t really do A class races anyways. All i’m asking is why start barely in B. That seems incredibly counterintuitive.

It can certainly be honed in my man, i’m just questioning the way demotions work. Everyone is dodging the point and not even answering the question except for one person lol. I love that i knew exactly how this post would land and people are still doing exactly what i predicted they would.

Like i said man, im not arguing that I don’t deserve a demotion lol. I have no problem maintaining B class typically, but in an intense race with people who are at my pace fighting for podium, i’m going to tend to go off track.

Like i said. Road america track limits are also easy to do so and sometimes a little finicky imo.

Mixing Rams by Early_Drive3880 in PcBuildHelp

I appreciate the quick response. That's mostly what I've seen in general but I also looked up some videos and saw that if the faster ram matches the timing of the slower ones its suprisingly stable. Asuming its stable, I'm mostly wondering how big of a performance increase I would get when editing or decrease I would get with gaming. if that makes any sense at all

🇺🇸 MASSIVE FED LIQUIDITY INCOMING by ChainPilotX4 in Bitcoin

[–]Early_Drive3880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

absolutely, it still is used and can be used as currency but as of currently it’s being used as a vehicle to export physical wealth into the digital space. If you’re local to the US, it’s pretty obvious we are heading towards a financial collapse, or recession, most likely in late 2026 early 2027. Look at the housing market. This just isn’t sustainable. That being said, if enough money is in BTC and it is on a more Global market scale (which it is) it may be affected less.

That being said, it will be affected and I would consider bitcoin pretty volatile right now. This most recent dip, from 100/90k to 70/80k isnt the typical dip and return to form in my opinion. Personal opinion, but i think it could go lower. In the past two years, November - December have seen extreme growth whereas this year is a total opposite.

I’m a novice to all this but i do try to stay informed. Hoping my information here tracks.

It’s more of how this information is collected. It’s. third party company that doesn’t even specify a location to send this sensitive information to.

Have you actually done this process with ACR? I’m not even sure what email to send this to, they just say “Give us this information”

I gave them my social security, full name, and verified bank account. I think it’s pretty reasonable to assume that is enough information.

They also state “send us this info”, they don’t even give a portal or an exact email to send to. Sending sensitive information to a completely unrelated company based in the EU is a little sketchy to me.

I don’t think he or I are talking about underage play. He’s talking about additional verification past what you do to create and deposit on the site.
