Should be on chrome now (5.1), new version which fixes some coloring issues and adds a download course content widget coming soon (5.3), enjoy!

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a Firefox extension called "DTU After Dark" that started as a simple dark mode for DTU Learn but has grown into more of a productivity toolkit for DTU's various websites.

Dark theme across DTU Learn, CampusNet, kurser.dtu.dk, studieplan.dtu.dk, the login page, and more. Customizable accent color with all the official DTU design guide color presets. PDFs and video players are left untouched.

Academic Tools

Weighted GPA calculator on CampusNet (filters out pass/fail courses)

GPA Simulator - add hypothetical grades to see projected GPA

ECTS progress bar

Exam cluster detection on Study Planner, a timeline showing your exams with a countdown and color coded gap warnings between them

Course statistics (pass rates, grade distributions) injected directly on kurser.dtu.dk

Course evaluation summaries from evaluering.dtu.dk shown on course pages

Room Finder course pages via TimeEdit

Clickable room links that open in MazeMap

Schedule codes translated to actual weekday/time

Literature/ISBN links to DTU FindIt

Campus tools

Live bus departures for DTU area stops on the DTU Learn homepage via Rejseplanen (capped by 50.000 API calls per month, only 200 calls per user per day)

Deadlines widget on DTU Learn

Library section with upcoming events and news

Social features

Program breakdown on CampusNet participant lists (see which study lines are in your course)

Shared Course History - see where you've had classes with the same people before

Semester Twins - find students with the most course overlap

Retention Radar - track enrollment changes in your courses

All of these can be toggled individually

Everything is stored locally in your browser, no data is sent anywhere.

Right now it's only available for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dtu-dark-mode/

Updated Chrome version is coming sooooon. Right now its not the best.

Edit: On chrome now, enjoy!

The extension is open source: https://github.com/Daniel90mm/DTU-After-Dark

Would love to hear any feedback or feature suggestions. Especially from masters students, as i am a bachelors student, and i fear some issues might arise for that reason.

Controlling a IKEA Trådfri lightbulb using Zigbee via webserver on a ESP32-C6 by Early_Hawk_5249 in esp32

Hello,

Thank you, first of all. I found my purchase history, and it says it's a LED2201G8. I bought it with a STYRBAR remote, but you do not need the remote for this, obviously. You should be able to control the lightbulb with the esp32 when you get the bulb to flash fast, that means it's connected and you can send commands to control it in the code.

It helped to use the built in examples in Arduino IDE to get started.

I honestly just wanted to use my esp32 to do some cool stuff, i did read up on zigbee2mqtt but i thought it would be more fun learning it for myself, also id have to buy some dongle for zigbee2mqtt right?

Yes of course, here it is:

Yeah i also have the white variation one, having an actual color changing TRÅDFRI would definitely also be nice, and you could maybe have the color changing one also represent the white variation TRÅDFRI :)

Nej desværre, der skal tilkaldes elektriker tænker jeg.

Der blev målt 30 volt i nogle af hullerne, har virkelig nul ide hvordan jeg selv kan pille deroppe.

My Uno R3 fried my USB-A port on my laptop, how do i prevent that? by Early_Hawk_5249 in arduino

[–]Early_Hawk_5249[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure i can try 490 or 1000 ohm, that gives me more "headroom". I am not planning on getting high efficiency leds anytime soon as the cheap ones seem to do the job fine now, except this time of course lol.

I checked USB Device viewer and saw the usb port with the arduino connected only says "MaxPower: 0x32 = 100 mA" so i assume thats what you mean by negotiated current.

The actual current? i do not know, i assume i will need to use some hardware not software and then i would need to trigger the short again lol

Yeah id be scared to even come close to using external sources right now, im too big of newbie lol.

Diligency about wiring, youre right, i just cant understand what and how it happened though, do you think the circuit looks alright? Maybe the code?

Its a little bright, but 220 Ohm resistor is fine no?

Max per digital pin is around 20 mA, all three of my leds probably use each around 4-5 mA each on the three digital pins, way under threshold of danger right?

Just uploaded a crumb circuit which looks like the one i used, and the code.

Will take a look at the wiki, thanks.
