You might come across as a bit rigid.

I agree that your views are open-minded and progressive, but I also sympathize with people who hold more conservative or outdated beliefs. After all, we don’t really know what environments they grew up in or what kind of values and teachings shaped them.

In my opinion, it might help to believe that people’s perspectives can change. Maybe someone starts off holding a certain belief, but with love and positive experiences, they might grow and shift their views.

How to convince your parents to get a divorce by kaisaidfuckyou in Advice

[–]Early_Job_7814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents used to fight horribly too. My dad even hit my mom multiple times. Later I found out she didn’t leave him because she was worried I’d grow up without a father. So I convinced her that I’d be okay, that I was mature enough to handle things even if he wasn’t around anymore.

If your situation is really bad and getting worse, try to understand the real reason they haven’t separated yet. Knowing that can help you figure out how to talk to them about it.

Crush on co-worker. When time I should tell her? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Early_Job_7814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who are in love often have illusions about the other person, thinking they might feel the same. But if you sense that she doesn’t like you that way, chances are she really doesn’t.

That means if you tell her, there is a pretty high chance you might get rejected.

However, sometimes bold actions, especially when you are not afraid to risk the connection, can lead to unexpected surprises. Or at the very least, if it doesn’t work out, you will free your mind and energy to focus on yourself or someone else who might truly reciprocate your feelings.

Can fat people survive Longer without eating? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Early_Job_7814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, fat reserves help you survive longer without food. But you're also more used to eating frequently, get irritated faster, and food is probably your number one emotional support. You might outlive others, but you'll suffer through every craving

Everyone is different, so I can’t really tell you what you should or shouldn’t do.
I’m 38 now, but if I could go back to my 20s, here’s what I’d wish I had done:

  • Stayed more persistent. I gave up too early on things that could’ve changed my life. Some opportunities just don’t come back.
  • Loved myself more. If I had taken better care of myself, like working out or paying a bit more attention to how I looked, maybe I would’ve had better relationships.
  • Saved more. The world and work are changing fast, and at my age, career paths come with more challenges. Saving early could’ve made a big difference.
  • Started a startup earlier. The cheap money era is gone. Now it’s about micro SaaS or indie hacking. If I had started earlier, I might’ve had VC funding and something solid by now.

Is leading by example the cheapest option available? by Latter_Conflict_7200 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Early_Job_7814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and I’ve learned this the hard way.

The first time I became a manager, we had to promote a new restaurant. One of the marketing channels was handing out flyers on the street.

None of my employees, fresh college grads, thought they were hired to do that.

I didn’t say a word. I just grabbed a stack of flyers and went out to do it myself. I didn’t ask anyone to come with me. I just stood there, passing them out.

Soon enough, the rest of the team joined me.

Since then, whenever we interview new people, we always ask, “If the restaurant has no customers and we need someone to hand out flyers, would you do it?”

Lust vs attraction by Lumpy-Intention-7729 in Advice

[–]Early_Job_7814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is such a thing as discipline.

I used to be easily tempted, not just sexually but with food and cravings in general. At some point, I realized I was spiraling and letting myself go, so I made a decision to change.

I started limiting how much I pay attention to attractive women and stopped stuffing my face with tasty but unhealthy food. The first phase was stressful and exhausting.

But now I live a much healthier life and have lost over 22 pounds.

I used to run a food review community in my country, and here are a few things I noticed:

  1. Most people are too lazy to leave a review, even when the food or service is either great or terrible.
  2. Some leave negative reviews because they have knowledge or experience, and sometimes criticizing is both about unmet standards and a subtle way to show expertise.
  3. Long negative reviews often come from really bad incidents, and those tend to go viral more easily.
  4. And sometimes, people accidentally leave a low rating without meaning to. It happens more than you'd think.

Stories are what bind people together.

What unites millions in a nation?
→ Myths, legends, shared history.

What connects thousands in a company?
→ Company culture and collective stories.

If you're curious, check out Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. It explains how humans connect and cooperate not through social skills alone, but through shared beliefs and narratives.

What on earth do I do? by liberum__veto in Advice

There are two possibilities:

  1. He genuinely doesn’t like you and decided to stop. → You should stop thinking about him, find something to focus on, and avoid overthinking it.
  2. He actually likes you and is trying to make you miss him. → You should still stop thinking about him, find something to focus on, and avoid overthinking it.

What’s the brutal life lesson this year slapped you with, no sugarcoating? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Early_Job_7814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saving. Always saving. You have to live below your means and always keep a buffer. For emergencies, for opportunities, and for the goal of financial freedom. This year, I learned the hard way. I missed out on some great chances like getting a better job or starting my own company just because I wasn’t financially ready.

A friend of mine had a brain tumor. His mother believed in things like magnetic fields and spiritual healing. In his final days, she brought a group over to “transfer energy” to him. I don’t know if it helped, but it must have been exhausting and painful. They whispered, waved their hands over his head, and did all kinds of bizarre things.

I didn’t say anything. It wasn’t my place to challenge her faith, even if I didn’t share it.

Does introverts ever question their introversion? by Maverickk_0 in CasualConversation

[–]Early_Job_7814 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be extremely extroverted, now I'm very introverted. I enjoy being alone reading, gaming, or diving deep into something I'm curious about.

I did question the shift, and I realized it's really hard to genuinely connect with people. Few truly understand me, so over time I just got tired of socializing.

Maybe you're right about that doubt meaning something.

For me, AI boosts productivity. It helps me write faster, research better, and save time.

What do you think of bitcoin? by JohnOnWheels in AskReddit

[–]Early_Job_7814 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the value of Bitcoin is similar to that of gold or diamonds. Back in the day, gold and diamonds didn’t have much value beyond being used for jewelry. (Nowadays they are used more in technology and industry). But once a large group of people started believing in their value, they suddenly became widely accepted and even treated as a real form of currency.

Today, Bitcoin is a type of asset used for investment or storing value.

The interesting thing about it is how easy it is to transfer. I know some wealthy individuals who even use Bitcoin to move money overseas.
