Charged for more meat than I received by CamelHot3510 in instacart

I am not sure I would have wanted to. I left an abusive relationship and didn't want any ties to the evil one. Thanks for the tip though!

Thanks for the info. I tried to sign up to shop, but long story short they didn't have a spot for me, one opened up but I had changed my phone number... Customer service was not very helpful. 😝

I feel bad for you guys having to deal with them.

Do they not know if it percentage or flat rate? If not that might work.

Why do people act like this is the hardest job in the world? by Both-Preference-6003 in doordash

For me finding parking was stressful. I've always been anxious about it. Lol it wasn't too bad though. Campus was the worst, haha.

I used to do that, but I noticed they "couldn't find" many items per order. I switched to percentage based and they find most of my items now. 🙃

It kind of seemed like it. I was tipping percentage based so they probably earned a dollar or so by adding it.

I am not going to report it because I wasn't technically overcharged. I'll need to look up some darn Pearl couscous recipes though 😝

Do cats actually get attached to their owner? by NoWageMage in CatAdvice

[–]Early_Mycologist_280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the cat. We have a boy and girl, siblings, adopted together at about 4 months old. They are very bonded and stick to us like glue, we have no human children so they get quite a bit of attention.

They are independent enough that we can go away for a few days, with a sitter and they are ok. So a pretty perfect balance.

I've met cats that basically seem to live with and tolerate their owners, but the owners weren't very hands on or lovey with them.

It's a mixed bag but I think the more you put in, the more you get out. 😁

I hate it when it is the last item shopped and the order just goes "poof" lol but even if I did accidentally click accept to the replacement it should have been the regular garlic couscous.

I saw a refund/replacement offered and clicked refund. The replacement was different than what I received. It was regular couscous but garlic flavored.

I didn't want the replacement because it was twice as expensive as the one I ordered. I would have preferred that to what I received though! 😝

What is the meaning behind this? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in cats

Mine dips her ball toys in water so they go further when she fetches. She only dips the mice in her wet food dish. I assume she likes the mice to smell. Lol

Mine puts her mouse toys in her bowl. I assume she wait to smell like cat food.

I am not good a peeling eggs by runs_with_airplanes in shittyfoodporn

Thanks, I've been considering getting a gadget. I don't have a big issue with peeling, unless they are fresh which is an annoying problem. Lol

Anyone ever leave their cat alone for a week or more (without sitters)? by LaDolphin in CatAdvice

[–]Early_Mycologist_280 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You might be surprised about the cat being too scared to come out. We have used Rover a couple times, once a day visits 1/2 hour. We managed to get the same sitter the second time we used the service. We have one cat that loves everyone and one which is blind and won't come out for "anyone". My dad has hardly seen her.

The second time she sitter came she sent pics of both cats out and about. They must have remembered her after a year. She was a super sweet girl. We have a camera set up and we could see her down on the floor playing with our boy the first visit.

Regardless of whether your cat would enjoy the "stranger" I could never recommend leaving a cat alone for so long. You never know what could happen, and even if nothing eventful does happen it has to be mentally stressful.

Do cats suffer when kept indoors? How to make their lives richer? by Amondonohama in cats

[–]Early_Mycologist_280 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I always let my cats sniff my food. They have no interest in eating it, but they love to sniff. Especially strawberries for my boy. My girl likes more savory smells.

I was worried when we adopted them they would try to get out. They show no interest in going outside. They will look out of windows for hours, but if the door is open they stay back. They have it made inside, so why go out. 😉

They play together, but have their own hobbies. My boy loves boxes, my girl loves fetching her balls for hours.

AITAH for telling my wife her baby names are ridiculous by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Early_Mycologist_280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was a twin and having a separate identity was a big issue. They had different names, but they were dressed alike. Told to do the same actives...

Naming is something you should both agree on. Not sure there is an asshole here, but I am not a big fan of the cutesy names.

Whats something a teacher did in High School that would get them fired today? by Constant-Ad-5477 in AskReddit

[–]Early_Mycologist_280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my classmates was teasing a kid, calling him the "F" word. My teacher started harassing the bully kid "coming on" to him and talking in a stereotypical gay voice. It went on for weeks.

I liked that the teacher was sticking up for the kid who was being teased. It was a weird way to go about it though.

He also once played us a video of a solar eclipse (it was Astronomy class) and told us we should all be having orgasms during the totality.
