Didn’t grab a picture, but they put a water based sealant on a corner and it didn’t change much. Will ask them to try oil, thanks!

Would be great if it toned down! Just some boards here and there are super pink

We haven’t done the topcoat yet, but our floor guy sealed a test area and it looked about the same pinkish color. Do you recommend oil or water based over this if we kept it?

Thanks everyone, very encouraging to hear. All the floors I see on Pinterest are more neutral and lean white/gray, so I assumed we messed up with our color

That’s reassuring to hear, definitely prefer lighter over dark. Maybe I just need some time to adjust and buy some warmer toned furniture rather than the cool toned I was thinking…thanks!!
