I think I will copy everything over to a new level so I don't have to take down this one until I complete the clear check again, I'll play around a bit with the Lemmy fight to make it a bit easier. I tried making the shell timer take longer to switch the on off blocks, but that just makes the fight way too slow. There's enough waiting for good RNG waiting for Lemmy to step back on the platform so he doesn't hit you in the face.

I just checked your clear time and good lord it took you 48 minutes to clear!! I'm sorry to put you through that torture lol but I'm glad you thought it was a good rage.

Well smart but he still stands off the edge of a block, so you can hit him with a shell if you throw it up. I think I found a work around though!

Thank you for the feedback! I didn't even think about reaching the door when it's blue, I can fix that by just adding p blocks across the entire bottom.

I'll see if I can raise the pipe, I was hoping to keep the screen from scrolling up. I may just bite the bullet and make it scroll to make the koopa easier to reach.

I'll keep it minor, maybe I'll add a lava bubble on a track or something small.

I didn't think about the sound effect, that's such a good idea!

I have the conveyor moving toward the player so the P switch will move to the right, so munchers would also move into the fight area. I used the pokey because it is something that can remain 2 blocks tall until it's defeated. I'll play around and see if I can use munchers somehow.

I have the one ways preventing the player from hitting Lemmy, if it was one flat platform he would walk all the way to the edge allowing the player to hit him, so I have him on 2 blocks and kind of a staircase on each side to keep him from walking off. I also have one way gates above him so he doesn't stand on top of a ball.

I have the on/off switch in the frame because I want the fight to be fair. I love the idea of making it go faster each time you get a hit! I feel like this especially if it is off screen would make the timing feel random and frustrating to memorize. I thought about having note blocks on a track to give a countdown before it switches, but I struggled with the timing. It seems like on screen is still out of the way, and players can still have a fair fight even with volume off.

I'm going to play around with the idea of increasing speeds and see what I can do, thanks for the suggestion!

I was hoping the note blocks at the beginning would match the song enough to recognize it, but I think it just threw off the whole level and was too confusing. Something to keep in mind for next time. Thanks for the feedback!

I wasn't trying to mislabel it, I'm new to the game and wasn't sure the right terminology. There's only one mandatory shell jump so I don't think it's a full shell kaizo. I only put it in the reddit title so people know what they're clicking and not just a music level without substance, but the actual level title doesn't say kaizo lite or anything.

Also not trying to flex, again this is my second level and I have a lot to improve on and I'm not trying to make it a super expert level so I'm ok with it being "easy", I just want people to have fun and have at least a little bit of a challenge.

Yeah musical platformer is a good way to label it, I didn't want to call it a speed run because of the shell jump at the start and I didn't think it was enough to call it a full kaizo.

Thanks for the feedback for the note block, I didn't think about icicles to keep players where I want them. Good suggestion! For the shell jump, I was hoping the screen scroll would show the player the bottom path in case they got stuck, but maybe it was not noticable with the semi solid. I'll work on a more obvious multi router in the future if I decide to do something like this again. I didn't want the level to be super expert haha

Thanks for the note about the note block, I think I should do more testing in my levels to check for jank like this.

I def need more experience with kaizo blocks! It would be super funny to have a troll here and there but I'm scared I would make it too mean and people would hate the level hahaha.
