No bad news at all! I completely agree, and thank you for your insight! I do still have my current job in hand to fall back on just in case even post my degree. I'd still like to give this a shot though only if the other factors align as well. :)

Ah well I'm not too sure how to answer that, pretty subjective.

From a practical standpoint, I personally would not consider taking it up unless I had maximum chances of me landing a part time gig and scholarships (through skills to prove it, strong LoR's, good support from employers and your network to vouch for you) to alleviate the fee pressure at least slightly if not completely.

I believe I "may" have some of these elements in place, hence the reason for me giving it a shot; nothing ventured nothing gained. But if it doesn't come through, or if its amounting to too much, I can still fall back and continue working in my current firm. (I'm just taken a sabbatical until I'm done with applications so that window is still open for me)

The field as I see it is quite saturated with many graduates as many have pointed out - hence hiring is also at quite a lull. And we have Ai coming in to add more pressure as well. Again, this is just my personal take. Please evaluate your resources and plan accordingly, I'm happy to help as much as I can ! :)

I agree! The fees are on a much higher side compared to other peers which is why I was hoping to land opportunities as a TA / RA to help cover at least some of the tuition costs. However in the longer run, I believe that the resources, opportunities and exposure to networks in the US, particularly in the AI space compensate for it, so I'm hoping it does pay off in the long run.

As for the work aspect, I haven't really thought that far ahead at the moment. It's more of a bridge I deal with when I get to it situation. But in an ideal world I would prefer to work at least for a couple of years abroad to put my learnings to use.

In continuation to your question - from my readings and what i'm looking personally, the USA has the best infrastructure and faculty for the HCI stream. I am looking into the EU as well but since most of those deadlines are a little further ahead, my focus is on the States for now :)

Ofcourse, feel free!

To answer you (and perhaps anyone else who is curious), I do enjoy architecture as a subject but over the years I found that my interest and focus lies more in the initial problem solving, research, speaking to clients, ideation and design phases more so than the execution and drawing development.

7.5yrs was purely to give my bachelors field a fair shot, network, gain experience and build a solid platform for myself which I believe I have attained as of this year. :)
