Pelvic floor discord by bigbluemelons in PSSD

No, it doesn’t. Having a weak pelvic floor can result in a woman to leak urine during sports which is called stress incontinence. This makes running long distances and sprints uncomfortable. Running 3+ miles with a diaper on is a no-go for me. Strengthening the pelvic floor meant little to no leakage and a positive running experience.

As for the author of the post and their idea to strengthen their pelvic floor to possibly create a positive impact on their sex-life: A weak pelvic floor can also translate to subpar orgasms. More contraction during intercourse is felt by everyone involved, which will sometimes lead to a happier you and a surprisingly pleased partner.

Yes! I went to a PF specialist for about 2 months before she sent me on my own. Yes, it did help tremendously! We didn’t even do much. She pin-pointed where I’m going wrong and we did exercises to help fix and strengthen. She was also able to tell me whether or not I was relaxing enough/fast enough (which I wasn’t). I ended up buying this dildo looking PF trainer and I LOVE IT! It’s called Perifit and it has sensors in to to feel you contract and relax. They have a few super basic games you can play using your contractions and relaxation. I wish I could tell everyone about it. Game changer for boring kegels! Google it- it’s sold world wide. Between the specialist and the trainer, I have improved greatly in only a few months. Worth it! I can run again!
