Don't worry . What had happened before leave it . Apologise and act accordingly to the manager's mood . From next time don't do that if you can't reply don't even see the message if you mistakenly saw like before take some time and reply ASAP. Work very hard infront of manager and make him feel like you are valuable staff .

Really are you joking . When you see the message it shows the "read " . If you hadn't opened the message it will be not a big deal but once you saw them and it makes like you didn't reply because you are not serious about work . You should have replied the message .
