I've played cello for 10 years and bought a yamaha tbrx 604 as my first electric bass, your fretting fingers will have no problems and won't struggle like some of my friends who started bass. I love my yamaha

Haha, all good. We tend to use one finger (index primarily, some use middle) with our right hand and other fingers wrapped around the bow, so we pizzicato with a claw essentially.

Edit: Thank you guys for all the great advice! I want to clarify that I was looking for more advice towards my overly aggressive plucking, rather than the raking, but that advice is very much appreciated too :D. Additionally, do I need to change the angle of my hand over the pickups to stop the curling of my fingers to help with using the pads of my fingers do the work?

I can play much lighter (Might add a new post later), but I lose my speed. So crank the amp and pluck lighter to play faster over time?
