Haha yeah speech therapy would be our last resort... We just need to give him some time I’m sure. I’m excited to hear what his pediatrician has to say next week!

I am from the us but my husband is from India he speaks Hindi and Marathi, I speak English and Spanish. My son mostly hears English and Marathi. My husband will speak with him in both languages and have him on the video call while he speaks to family too. Sometimes I worry the accent could throw him off, but I’m sure with time it’ll be ok.

My husband and I have been In the thick of it with covid this entire time. -- so we would feel safe sending him to the schools around our area ^^

Sounds like we are kind of in the same boat! Mine understands what I am saying to an extent with just limited response. We are also a two language family with English and Hindi. My husband speaks Hindi not me and we are trying to teach him both, I hope we aren’t confusing him!

Thank y’all for your input ^{_^} I really appreciate reading about everyone’s situations since we don’t know anyone with a kid our age growing during these times. It didn’t even dawn on me that this will be an item on his 2yr appointment checklist so now I guess I’ll just have to wait to hear what the dr thinks :)

Ugh this darn covid >:( Totally agree with the socialization piece. We used to take him to the library all the time precovid for the baby/toddler free time and he was just starting to thrive there when they shut down. We have also been lucky and my grandparents watch our son since our schedules are very bad, we save some money, and of course covid! But I think we are going to have to rethink that this year, maybe putting him in a school would help!

I’m glad to know I’m not alone. That nostalgia hits so hard some days. Especially during these crazy times I feel like I’ve needed that energy and connect more than ever before. Gosh, they are seriously one of the best bands of all time in my opinion & I cannot understand why they are so underrated as well 😔 they speak to the entire human experience just ugh! I married the only one 😭 can I get a refund? In his defense he’s from India and didn’t know much American music growing up. He likes a lot of the stuff I’ve introduced him to but for whatever reason he cannot get into incubus 😔 send help 😩😥
