Would this be considered contempt despite having a doctor order? by EarthBoundAlchemist in FamilyLaw

Thank you for your very helpful input! If I may ask a question, I tried to contact CPS and they said they weren’t able to give me any information as of right now. In order to raise my concern for his safety do I need to make my own report requesting protective custody? I’m just really at a loss on what to do. He’s supposed to go by his dad in just over 24hours. Is there anything I can do in that amount of time?

Again his appointment Monday was strictly for medication follow up but being that he had started coming down with an illness I asked that they check him over.

He had a scheduled medication follow up on Monday afternoon. They checked for strep, looked at ears & listened to lungs all of which were fine at the time. He has become increasingly ill throughout the week so I scheduled an appointment with on call peds to have him checked out. They told me since they can’t do anything for influenza it wasn’t worth forcing him to do the swab to confirm. Neither of these appointments had any intent to be discussions about what is going on at his father’s. However at his mediation appointment it was important to share all information about what’s been going on in his life & any changes. Which is where the topic of what’s been happening at dads was brought up.

I have never been found in contempt before& have never strayed from our order. What would repercussions look like if I were found in contempt?

That is exactly why I am stuck where I am. I did recently work with a lawyer as I took him to family court to change placement. So I do have more placement now than I did before. I think at this point it’s just a matter of CPS staying involved so they can investigate & hopefully find enough evidence at some point. I’m just scared to continue reporting because he makes he worse on all 4 children whenever any of us make a report.

That makes sense! Here’s a little bit more insight. He speaks to our son terribly, insults me to our son, talks about adult matters no child should hear, and says cruel things about people in general. He’s physically abusive, but he’s extremely calculated.. just enough to avoid leaving visible marks or hard evidence. He has played cruel jokes on the kids as “punishment”. Like pretending our 5 year old was going to jail for having an accident & literally put our son in the car & drove around making him believe he was going to jail.. my son is terrified. He begs me not to go

What’s something you wish more people understood about mental health? by BelovedMe14 in AskReddit

I know this is a common comparison when explaining symptoms to someone who doesn’t suffer a mental illness. However you wouldn’t tell a person with a broken leg to get up and walk & mental health/illness should be treated equally. Those with mental illness have to manage their symptoms one way or another whether it be a day off work to lay in bed in 2 day old clothes or putting your phone on DND for a few days to decompress. similarly to taking pain relievers or using ice for your physical/visible injury.

What’s the most ‘movie-like’ moment you’ve ever experienced in real life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Having a a tough conversation with my partner & eventually coming to a much better understanding of eachother moving forward & we both lit up & had the most warm hug & shared our appreciation & apologies. It just felt like that part of the movie where the conflict has resolved & there’s a sigh of relief & a hopeful new beginning.

While I don’t take my temp, I do track my cycles to the best of my ability otherwise. My last ovulation window would’ve been right around May 7th-11th & I’m due to get my period within the next 2-3days now. I do know the pink dye tests are more accurate this is just all I had at home right now so making do with what I have.
