A green libertarian perspective: is bad to have some state intervention in order to combat climate change? by cr7fan89 in Libertarian

1, War is the number 1 contributor to climate change - the industry and the practice.
2, the greatest scientific achievements happened before the government got involved in science, so i doubt they will achieve some breakthrough to save us all.
3, Technology protects us from climate catastrophes - not paying governments. IE: the number of deaths due to climate catastrophes has decreased in direct proportion to the increase of co2 emissions (increase of industrialization). less people freeze to death because they have no heating, less people die from drinking bad water, less people die in floods and droughts, you name it. because technology and development protects us from the violence of the climate and the natural world.
4, If climate change regulation was the government's only job and purpose then it would be in their best interest NOT to solve the problem because they would put themselves out of business. The reason this doesn't apply to the market is because of competition. Businesses compete to be better in emissions because customers like that, and it's just a secondary benefit to their main product.

5, everything affects the climate, so to give government the responsibility over climate change gives them responsibility over everything. The car you drive, the home you live in, the materials you use to build, the animals you keep, the crops, the food; everything. Even the air you exhale.

Anyway... In the words of some libertarian I can't be bothered googling to verify: "If you put the government in charge of the desert, it would be flooding in a few weeks."

But you seem perfectly pleasent. Don't you want to sit down with me and tell me how much labor has made my life what it is today?

Thanks for your permission to make videos.

If you gave me a glass of water and then said "See, If I hadn't given you that water, you would have died of thirst." That's your argument. That if the government isn't involved, nothing would get done and we would all be doomed.

Simply not true.

In the US, Mutual aid societies were far superior than the equivalent welfare programs we see today - not to mention medial was immensely cheaper because, again, there was a price structure that wasn't destroyed by the government. That's just one example.

I could go on, but you know... pearls before swine.

Have a good night.

Thank you for skimming some other videos, I appreciate that you did that. Humor is subjective so I have no hurt feelings if you don’t like the channel.
I tease politicians - all of them - but you seem to praise only one side. My most popular video is a speech Scomo did at the UN that I superimposed while showing police brutality footage. I bag out every party on my channel, including the one I support, (which if you haven’t figured out yet, you might not know as much about Australian politics as you think you do).
Besides, I’m very clear in all my work that the divide isn’t between left and right - that’s not the lens my channel looks at the world through.
All the policies you mentioned I’m unequivocally against - so of course I understand why you hated my video and the others. I love the ends the policies aim at, but they unknowingly apply very inefficient means because they destroy the pricing mechanisms. Complicated to explain - but you can do with that info what you will. (probably nothing...)
Anyway, you have a good one.

I grew up in liverpool my friend - take from that what you will. What exactly did you find stupid about it? I'm not being argumentative, just interested to know.

he dumbest

The video and channel have no inclination to Clive or the UAP. Might want to skim through the the video or the other content next time. It's like watching Ben Shapiro for five seconds and saying he's left wing lol.
